Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bouncer in Riposto is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. One minute you’re chillin’, the next you’re dodging drama like it’s a game of dodgeball. So, I roll into work at this club on Via Roma, right? The sun’s setting over the Ionian Sea, and it’s lookin’ all picturesque and stuff. But I know better. I know the night’s gonna be wild. I’m just tryin’ to sip my espresso and get in the zone. But then, boom! A group of rowdy tourists stumbles in. They’re loud, they’re obnoxious, and they’re already three sheets to the wind. Like, c’mon, it’s only 8 PM! I’m standin’ at the door, tryin’ to keep my cool. I mean, I’m a big dude, but I don’t wanna be the bad guy. But these guys? They’re pushin’ it. One dude trips over his own feet and spills his drink all over my shoes. I’m like, “Dude, really? You’re gonna ruin my kicks?” But I just laugh it off. Gotta keep the peace, ya know? Then, outta nowhere, I see this girl on Via Cristoforo Colombo. She’s crying, like full-on sobbing. I’m thinkin’, “What the heck happened?” Turns out, her boyfriend just dumped her. Right there on the street! I mean, who does that? I feel for her, but I can’t just leave my post. So, I give her a thumbs up and a nod. Like, “You got this, girl!” Fast forward a bit, and the club’s packed. I’m talkin’ shoulder-to-shoulder, people everywhere. The DJ’s droppin’ beats, and the crowd’s vibin’. But then, I spot a fight breakin’ out near the bar. Two guys, both way too drunk, throwin’ punches like they’re in a boxing ring. I’m like, “Oh hell no!” I rush over, and it’s chaos. I grab one dude by the collar and pull him back. He’s all like, “What’s your problem, man?” I’m thinkin’, “Your face is my problem!” But I keep it cool. I’m like, “You wanna get kicked out? ‘Cause I can make that happen real quick.” Finally, I get ‘em separated, and they’re both huffin’ and puffin’. I’m just standin’ there, tryin’ to catch my breath. I swear, I need a vacation after this shift. Later, I take a breather outside on Via Marina. The sea breeze hits me, and I’m feelin’ a bit better. I see the lights of Taormina twinkling in the distance. It’s beautiful, but I can’t enjoy it. I’m still wired from the craziness. Then, I hear this commotion. A couple of guys are tryin’ to sneak in without payin’. I’m like, “Not on my watch!” I step in front of ‘em, arms crossed. They back off real quick. I mean, I’m not just a bouncer; I’m a wall of muscle. As the night winds down, I’m finally able to relax. I see that girl from earlier again. She’s smiling now, hangin’ with her friends. I’m glad she found her groove again. By the end of the night, I’m exhausted. I head home, walkin’ down Via Roma, thinkin’ about how wild Riposto can be. It’s a small town, but man, the energy is unreal. I love it, even with all the craziness. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild night in Riposto. Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
