Man, what a day! I swear, Rivolta-d-Adda is a wild place sometimes. I woke up, ready to tackle some woodwork, but little did I know, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the road on Via Roma, right? The sun was shining, birds chirping, all that cliché stuff. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” But nah, not in Rivolta. I get to the workshop, and my boss, Marco, is already in a mood. He’s like, “Where’s the new shipment of wood?” I’m like, “Dude, I just got here!” Turns out, the delivery truck got lost. Classic Rivolta, right? So, I’m stuck with this old, warped wood. I mean, it’s like trying to build a chair with spaghetti. I’m hammering away, and I swear, every time I hit a nail, it bends. I’m getting angrier by the second. I’m like, “C’mon, wood! Work with me here!” Then, I decide to take a break. I stroll down to the park by the Adda River. Man, it’s beautiful there. The water’s glistening, and I see some kids playing soccer. I’m thinking, “This is the life.” But then, outta nowhere, a soccer ball comes flying at me! I duck just in time, but it hits this old lady’s shopping bag. She’s like, “Hey! Watch it!” I’m like, “Sorry, ma’am! I’m not a goalie!” After that, I head back to the workshop, still fuming about the wood. I’m trying to focus, but my mind’s racing. I start daydreaming about building this epic treehouse. Like, a legit mansion in a tree. I can see it now—swinging bridges, a slide, maybe even a mini bar. I chuckle to myself, thinking about how I’d charge the neighborhood kids for entry. But then, reality hits. I gotta finish this stupid chair. I’m back at it, and finally, I get it done. It’s not perfect, but it’ll do. I’m feeling a bit proud, ya know? Just as I’m about to leave, my buddy Luca shows up. He’s like, “Wanna grab a drink at Bar Centrale?” I’m like, “Heck yeah!” We hit up the bar, and it’s packed. Everyone’s laughing, chatting, and I’m just soaking it all in. I order a spritz, and we start talking about the latest gossip in Rivolta. Apparently, there’s a new gelato place opening on Via Garibaldi. I’m like, “Dude, we gotta check it out!” But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! The whole bar goes dark. People are freaking out, and I’m just sitting there, laughing. I mean, c’mon, it’s Rivolta! We’re used to this chaos. After a few minutes, the lights flicker back on, and everyone cheers. I’m like, “See? We survived!” We finish our drinks, and I’m feeling good. As I walk home, I can’t help but think about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. From warped wood to soccer balls flying, to drinks with friends. Rivolta-d-Adda, you never cease to amaze me. I love this crazy little town. And that’s a wrap on my day. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
