Man, what a day! I swear, Romano d’Ezzelino is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day in this little gem of a town. But nah, life had other plans. So, I’m rollin’ outta bed, right? The sun’s peeking through my window on Via Roma. I’m like, “Cool, let’s do this.” Grabbed a quick espresso from the bar down the street. You know, the one on Piazza della Libertà? Best coffee ever! I mean, if you’re not buzzin’ after that, are you even alive? Anyway, I’m sippin’ my coffee, feeling all pumped. Then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the plaza. There’s a bull!” I’m like, “A bull? In the plaza? What, are we in a movie?” But I’m intrigued, so I head over. When I get there, it’s chaos! People everywhere, shouting, laughing, and there’s this massive bull just chillin’ in the middle of the square. I mean, who lets a bull roam free in the city? Only in Romano d’Ezzelino, right? I can’t help but laugh. But then, it gets real. The bull starts charging! I’m like, “Oh snap, this is not good!” Everyone’s running, and I’m just standing there, frozen. I mean, I’m a Banderillero, not a bullfighter! But then, I see this old guy, probably in his 80s, waving a stick at the bull like he’s some kind of matador. I’m dying! Finally, the bull calms down, and the crowd starts cheering. I’m relieved but also kinda annoyed. Like, why do I always end up in these situations? I just wanted a quiet day! After that, I needed a breather. So, I strolled down Via G. Marconi, just taking in the sights. The old buildings, the cobblestone streets, it’s all so picturesque. But then, I see this street vendor selling gelato. I mean, who can resist gelato, right? I grab a cone, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I trip! My gelato goes flying, and I’m just standing there, staring at it like it’s my lost child. I’m so mad! I could’ve cried. But then, this little kid walks by and says, “Don’t worry, mister! I’ll share mine!” And just like that, my heart melts. Kids are the best, man. So, I keep walking, trying to shake off the gelato tragedy. I head towards the park near the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo. It’s beautiful there, with all the trees and flowers. I sit on a bench, just chillin’. But then, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “C’mon, guys, it’s a beautiful day!” But then, they start laughing! Turns out, they were just messing around. I’m like, “Wow, people are weird.” But I love it. Romano d’Ezzelino is full of surprises. As the sun starts to set, I head back home. I’m exhausted but happy. I think about how crazy today was. A bull, gelato drama, and a couple’s love story all in one day. Only in this town, man. I plop down on my couch, thinking about tomorrow. What’s next? A parade? A street festival? Who knows! But I’m ready for it. Romano d’Ezzelino, you never cease to amaze me!
