Man, what a day! I swear, Roncadelle really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the usual spot. The barista, Marco, he’s a legend. But today? Dude was in a mood. He spills my cappuccino all over the counter. I’m like, “Bro, that’s my caffeine fix!” But he just laughs it off. I mean, come on! I need that caffeine to function, man! After that, I decided to stroll down to the park, Parco della Libertà. It’s a nice spot, you know? Green grass, kids playing, old folks feeding pigeons. But then, outta nowhere, this dog runs up to me. I’m talking full-on sprint. It jumps on me, and I’m like, “Whoa, chill, buddy!” Turns out, it’s just excited. But I’m still covered in drool. Great start, right? Then, I hit up the market on Via Garibaldi. Fresh produce, local vibes. I’m browsing, and I see this old lady haggling over tomatoes. She’s fierce! I’m standing there, half-laughing, half-embarrassed. Like, lady, it’s just tomatoes! But she’s not having it. “These are too expensive!” she yells. I’m thinking, “You go, grandma!” But then, I get to the cheese stand. Oh man, the cheese! I’m in heaven. I grab some gorgonzola, and the guy behind the counter is like, “You gotta try this!” He hands me a sample, and I’m like, “Dude, this is life-changing!” I’m practically dancing. Cheese makes everything better, right? So, I’m feeling good, right? I head over to the fountain in Piazza della Repubblica. It’s beautiful, all those little kids splashing around. I sit down, take a breath, and just soak it all in. But then, this group of teenagers starts blasting music. Like, seriously? It’s 10 AM! I’m trying to enjoy my moment here! I get up, ready to leave, and guess what? I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m sprawled out on the ground, and everyone’s staring. I just laugh it off. “Yeah, I meant to do that!” I say, trying to save face. But inside, I’m dying. Later, I decide to grab lunch at this little trattoria on Via Mazzini. The food is bomb! I order pasta, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Luca. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the festival at the church!” I’m like, “What festival?” Apparently, it’s some local thing I totally forgot about. So, I rush over to the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. It’s packed! People everywhere, food stalls, music. I’m trying to find Luca, but it’s chaos. I’m dodging kids, old folks, and a guy juggling. I finally spot him, and he’s holding a giant slice of pizza. “You gotta try this!” he says. I’m like, “Dude, I’m still full from lunch!” But I take a bite anyway. It’s amazing. As the sun sets, the vibe is unreal. Everyone’s laughing, dancing, just enjoying life. I’m standing there, feeling all the feels. Then, outta nowhere, fireworks start! I’m like a kid again, eyes wide, mouth agape. It’s beautiful. But then, I remember my car is parked on Via Verdi. I gotta go! I sprint through the crowd, dodging people left and right. I finally reach my car, and I’m like, “Phew, made it!” But then I realize I left my bag at the festival. Ugh! So, I head back, and guess what? The bag is gone. I’m freaking out. But then, I see that old lady from the market. She’s holding my bag! “You dropped this, dear,” she says with a smile. I’m like, “Thank you! You’re a lifesaver!” Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Roncadelle, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. What a day!
