Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Kvasnik in Rudiano is no joke. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Via Roma. I’m like, “Great, another day of makin’ kvas.” But little did I know, today was gonna be a rollercoaster. First off, I head to the market on Piazza della Libertà. It’s packed! Like, where did all these people come from? I’m dodgin’ folks left and right, tryin’ to get to my usual spot. And then, bam! I spill my kvas all over some dude’s shoes. I’m like, “Sorry, man! It’s organic!” He just glares at me. Ugh, people can be so uptight. Then, I finally set up my stall. The smell of that fermented goodness fills the air. I’m feelin’ good, you know? But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, knocks over my whole setup! Kvas everywhere! I’m standin’ there, mouth agape, like, “Seriously?!” I could’ve lost it. But instead, I just laughed. What else can ya do? After that chaos, I decide to take a breather. I stroll down Via Garibaldi, grab a slice of pizza from that little joint. You know the one? Best pizza in town! I’m munchin’ away, thinkin’ life’s not so bad. But then, I see this old lady, Nonna Rosa, tryin’ to cross the street. Cars are zoomin’ by like they’re in a race. I rush over, help her out. She’s like, “Grazie, giovane!” Made my day, honestly. But then, I get back to my stall, and guess what? My kvas is gone! Like, poof! I’m lookin’ around, and there’s this group of teenagers chuggin’ it down. I’m like, “Hey! That’s my livelihood!” They just laugh and run off. I’m fumin’! I mean, who does that? So, I decide to take a walk to clear my head. I head over to the Parco della Rimembranza. It’s beautiful there, man. Trees everywhere, people chillin’. I sit on a bench, just takin’ it all in. And then, I see this couple, totally in love, whisperin’ sweet nothings. I’m like, “Aww, young love.” But then, they start fightin’! I’m like, “What the heck?!” After that drama, I’m feelin’ a bit better. I head back to my stall, and guess what? I see my kvas! Some nice lady returned it! Turns out, she saw the whole thing. I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver!” We chat for a bit, and she tells me about her family in the countryside. It’s nice to connect with someone, ya know? As the sun sets, I pack up my stuff. I’m exhausted but happy. Rudiano’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I walk back down Via Roma, the lights flickerin’ on, and I can’t help but smile. What a day, right? Full of ups and downs, but that’s life. So, yeah, being a Kvasnik in Rudiano is wild. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
