Man, what a day! I woke up in Russi, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I live near Via Roma, and that street is always buzzing. Like, you can’t even hear yourself think with all the scooters zooming by. I swear, if I had a euro for every time I almost got run over, I’d be rich! So, I’m outta bed, chugging my coffee like it’s the elixir of life. I’m late for work, of course. Typical me. I dash out, and boom! I step right into a puddle. Not just any puddle, but the one that’s been there since last week. My shoes are soaked. Great start, right? I finally make it to the office on Via Garibaldi, and my boss is already on my case. “Where have you been?” she barks. I’m like, “Lady, I just survived a water hazard!” But she doesn’t care. She’s all about deadlines and reports. Ugh. Then, during lunch, I hit up this little café on Via Cavour. Best panini ever! I’m talking crispy bread, melty cheese, and prosciutto that melts in your mouth. I’m in heaven. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and tries to steal my lunch! Like, dude, back off! I’m not sharing! I’m flailing my arms, and people are staring. Classic me, making a scene. After that, I decide to take a stroll down to the park by the river. It’s so chill there, you know? The sun’s shining, kids are playing, and I’m just vibing. But then, I see this guy trying to impress a girl. He’s juggling. And he drops everything. I mean, come on! The poor dude turns beet red. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who juggles in public? Then, I get a text from my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Let’s hit up the bar later.” I’m down! But first, I gotta deal with this crazy lady on the bus. She’s talking to herself, and I’m just trying to zone out. But she’s loud! “The aliens are coming!” she shouts. I’m like, “Lady, I just wanna get home!” Finally, I get to the bar on Via Mazzini. It’s packed! I grab a drink, and Marco’s already there, laughing about the juggling guy. We’re cracking up, and I’m feeling good. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! Seriously? In the middle of a Friday night? Everyone’s like, “What’s happening?” and I’m just sitting there, sipping my drink in the dark. It’s kinda funny, though. We all start singing random songs. “Don’t stop believin’!” and it turns into a full-on karaoke session. I’m not even kidding. By the time the lights come back on, I’m in stitches. We’re all best friends now, right? I stumble home, still laughing, and I can’t help but think about how wild this day was. From puddles to pigeons to power outages, Russi really knows how to keep things interesting. I crash into bed, exhausted but happy. What a day! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
