OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Via Roma, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get ready for my gig. You know, the whole Maiko thing—makeup, kimono, the works. I was feeling cute, but then I spilled tea on my kimono! Ugh! Like, why does this always happen? I was so mad, I could’ve screamed. But I just dabbed it with a napkin and hoped for the best. So, I head out, strutting down Viale della Libertà, feeling all fancy. The streets were buzzing. Salsomaggiore-Terme is such a vibe! The thermal baths are like, right there, and people are just chilling, soaking in the good stuff. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna relax in those hot springs? But not me, I had a show to do! I get to the venue, and guess what? The sound system is totally messed up. Like, are you kidding me? I’m about to perform, and I can’t even hear myself! I was ready to throw a fit. But then, this cute guy named Marco, who’s like, the sound guy, comes over. He’s all calm and collected, fixing things like a pro. I was like, “Dude, you’re my hero!” He smiled, and I felt a little better. Finally, the show starts. I’m dancing, and the crowd is loving it! I mean, who wouldn’t love a Maiko in a gorgeous kimono? I was on fire! But then, mid-performance, I see this lady in the front row. She’s totally on her phone, like, what? I’m pouring my heart out here! I wanted to shout, “Put that thing down!” But I just kept dancing. After the show, I was buzzing. I walked down to Piazza della Libertà, and it was packed! People everywhere, laughing, eating gelato. I grabbed a cone—chocolate hazelnut, duh—and it was heavenly. But then, I dropped it! Like, seriously? I was so bummed. I just stood there, staring at the ground like it was the end of the world. But then, this old man came up to me. He had the biggest smile and handed me a new gelato. I was like, “Wait, what?!” He just winked and walked away. I was so touched! Salsomaggiore-Terme really has the best people. So, I decided to take a stroll down Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. The shops were all lit up, and I couldn’t resist popping into a little boutique. I found the cutest hairpin! It was like, calling my name. I bought it, and I felt like a million bucks. But then, as I was leaving, I bumped into a group of tourists. They were lost, looking for the Terme Berzieri. I was like, “Oh, I know where that is!” So, I ended up giving them directions. They were super grateful, and I felt like a local hero. As the sun started to set, I made my way back home. I was exhausted but happy. Salsomaggiore-Terme had thrown me a rollercoaster of a day. I laughed, I cried (okay, maybe just a little), and I met some amazing people. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
