Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my tiny apartment on Via Roma, right? The sun was blasting through the window like it was auditioning for a role in a horror movie. I’m like, “Chill, sun! I’m not ready for this!” But ya know, I’m a musician, so I gotta roll with it. First thing, I grab my guitar. It’s an old thing, but it’s got soul, ya know? I head out to the piazza, where all the locals hang. It’s like the heart of San-Benigno-Canavese. I’m strumming away, trying to catch some vibes. The cobblestones are all uneven, and I almost trip over my own feet. Classic me, right? Then, outta nowhere, this old dude, Signor Rossi, comes up. He’s like, “Hey, you! You playin’ that thing or just torturing it?” I laugh, but inside I’m like, “Dude, I’m pouring my heart out here!” But whatever, I keep playing. The guy starts dancing like he’s in a disco from the ‘70s. I can’t help but crack up. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my bandmate, Luca. He’s like, “We gotta practice, like, NOW!” I’m thinking, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a moment here!” But I pack up and head over to the studio on Via Torino. When I get there, the vibe is all off. I mean, we’re usually tight, but today? Nah. Marco’s late, as usual. I’m pacing, thinking about how I could’ve stayed in the piazza, soaking up the sun and the laughter. Finally, Marco rolls in, all “Sorry, man, traffic.” Traffic? In San-Benigno? C’mon! We start jamming, but it’s like pulling teeth. I’m trying to get everyone hyped, but Luca’s on his phone, scrolling like he’s looking for the meaning of life. I’m like, “Dude, we’re trying to make music here, not find a new pizza place!” After what feels like forever, we finally hit a groove. It’s magic, man. The kind of stuff that makes you forget all the crap. We’re vibing, and I’m feeling it. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Just like that! I’m standing there, guitar in hand, like a deer in headlights. We all just start laughing. I mean, what else can you do? We decide to take it outside. So, we grab our stuff and head to the park by the Chiesa di San Giovanni. It’s beautiful there, with the trees and the little fountain. We set up and start playing again. And guess what? A crowd starts to form! People from the neighborhood, kids, old folks, everyone. It’s like we’re the main event at the San-Benigno festival or something. I’m feeling like a rockstar, man! But then, this one guy, he’s super into it, right? He starts singing along, but he’s totally off-key. I’m trying not to laugh, but it’s hard. I mean, bless his heart, but c’mon! I’m thinking, “Dude, you’re killing my vibe!” But I can’t be mean, so I just smile and keep playing. As the sun sets, everything feels perfect. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I’m just soaking it in. But then, I see my ex across the park. Ugh, why today? She’s with some dude, and I’m like, “Great, just great.” My heart sinks a bit, but I shake it off. I’m not letting that ruin my moment. We finish our set, and the crowd goes wild! I’m on cloud nine. I’m thinking, “This is what it’s all about!” But then, I realize I left my guitar pick back at the studio. Classic me again! So, I’m walking back home, feeling all the feels. San-Benigno-Canavese is quiet now, the streets are empty, and I’m just reflecting on the day. It was a rollercoaster, man. From the piazza to the studio to the park, it was all over the place. But ya know what? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This little town, with its quirks and characters, it’s home. And tomorrow? Who knows what’s gonna happen. But I’m ready for it. Bring it on, San-Benigno!
