Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in San-Cesareo, right? Beautiful little town, but today? Ugh. First off, I’m late. Like, super late. I rush outta my apartment on Via Roma, and guess what? My coffee spills all over my shirt. Great start, huh? I look like a walking espresso machine. Whatever, I think, I’ll just grab a cappuccino at that cute café on Piazza della Libertà. So, I’m sprinting down the street, dodging tourists and their selfie sticks. Like, come on, people! It’s not a photo op, it’s a sidewalk! Anyway, I finally get to the café, and they’re outta my favorite pastry. Seriously? It’s 8 AM! How do you run outta cornetti this early? I settle for a dry croissant. Ugh. Then, I get to the office on Via delle Terme. My team’s already buzzing. They’re all like, “Hey, did you hear about the new project?” I’m like, “What project?” Turns out, they decided to launch a new marketing campaign without me. Cool, right? I’m the manager, and they just went ahead. I’m fuming. Like, who do they think they are? I try to keep my cool. I mean, it’s San-Cesareo, not New York. But still, I’m ready to blow. I take a deep breath and remind myself that this is a beautiful coastal town. The sun is shining, the sea is sparkling. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my mom. She’s like, “Did you pay the bills?” Ugh, mom! I’m busy! So, I’m juggling work drama and family drama. I step outside for a breather. The view from the terrace is stunning. You can see the beach, the waves crashing. I think, “Okay, maybe today won’t be so bad.” But then, I hear a loud crash. I turn around, and some guy just knocked over a whole cart of gelato. Nooooo! Not the gelato! I rush over to help. The guy’s freaking out, and I’m like, “Dude, it’s just gelato!” But he’s crying like it’s the end of the world. I mean, it’s San-Cesareo! There’s more gelato where that came from! I help him clean up, and he gives me a free scoop. Score! Back at the office, I’m feeling a bit better. I sit down, and my team’s all excited about the project. They’re like, “We can do this!” I’m like, “Okay, let’s do it!” I mean, I can’t stay mad forever, right? Then, lunchtime hits. I head to my fave spot, Ristorante Da Gino. The pasta is to die for. I order the spaghetti alle vongole, and it’s heavenly. I’m in my happy place. But then, I see a rat scurry by. Like, what the heck? In a restaurant? I’m losing my appetite. After lunch, I decide to take a walk along the beach. The sand is warm, the water’s cool. I see families, kids playing, and I think, “This is what life’s about.” But then, I step on a sharp shell. Ouch! Seriously, can’t a guy catch a break? I finally get back to the office, and my team’s buzzing with ideas. We brainstorm, and I’m feeling pumped. We’re gonna crush this project! But then, my phone rings again. It’s my mom. “Did you pay the bills yet?” Mom, chill! The day wraps up, and I’m exhausted. I walk home, taking the long way through Via dei Pini. The sunset is gorgeous, painting the sky in pinks and oranges. I think, “Okay, maybe today wasn’t so bad after all.” I get home, plop on the couch, and just breathe. San-Cesareo, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. But man, I need a vacation from this day!
