Man, what a day! I swear, San-Daniele-del-Friuli is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day in this cute little town. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m talking about that rich, dark espresso that slaps you awake. But guess what? The barista, bless her heart, spilled half of it on me! Like, c’mon! I’m a sports psychologist, not a coffee stain model! I was fuming, but then she gave me a free pastry. So, I guess that’s a win? After that, I strolled down to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. It’s this gorgeous square, right? I love the vibe there. People chilling, kids running around, and the sun shining. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides my shoulder is its new perch. I’m like, “Dude, not cool!” I flailed my arms like a maniac. Everyone laughed. Great, now I’m the pigeon whisperer. Then, I had a session with this young athlete, Marco. He’s a soccer player, super talented but has the confidence of a wet noodle. We met at the local sports center on Via Cavour. I’m trying to pump him up, right? But he’s all, “What if I mess up?” I’m like, “Dude, you’re in San-Daniele! You’ve got this!” But he just stares at me like I’m speaking Martian. So, I took him outside. We walked along the Tagliamento River. The view is stunning, man! The mountains in the background, the water glistening. I told him to imagine scoring the winning goal. He finally cracked a smile. Progress! But then, he trips over a rock. Classic Marco. I couldn’t help but laugh. After our session, I decided to grab some prosciutto. I mean, c’mon, it’s San-Daniele! I hit up this little deli on Via Garibaldi. The owner, an old dude with a twinkle in his eye, slices the prosciutto like a master. I’m drooling just thinking about it. But then, I overhear this couple arguing about the best way to eat it. Like, really? Just eat it! I finally got my prosciutto, and I’m walking back, feeling like a champ. But then, I see this street performer on Via della Libertà. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually pretty good. I stop to listen, and before I know it, I’m dancing like a fool. I mean, who cares, right? It’s San-Daniele! But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked, my prosciutto is getting soggy, and I’m still dancing. I must’ve looked ridiculous. But hey, I was having fun! By the time I got home, I was exhausted. I flopped on my couch, thinking about the day. It was chaotic, emotional, and totally unexpected. But that’s life, right? San-Daniele-del-Friuli, you’ve got my heart. Even with the pigeons and the rain. So, here’s to more crazy days in this beautiful town. Bring it on!
