Man, what a day! I swear, San-Dona-di-Piave is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day installing radio gear. Boy, was I wrong! First off, I hit the road on Via Roma. Traffic was a mess. Like, come on! It’s a Tuesday, not rush hour! I’m sittin’ there, fuming, listening to some old Italian tunes. They’re all romantic and stuff, but I’m just mad. I got places to be, ya know? Finally, I get to this café on Piazza Indipendenza. I needed a caffeine fix. Grabbed an espresso, and it was like liquid gold! I’m feelin’ good, ready to tackle the day. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking coffee stain. So, I head to this client’s place on Via Cavour. Nice neighborhood, but the guy? Total weirdo. He’s got this massive collection of old radios. Like, who even collects those? He starts rambling about how they’re “the soul of communication.” I’m just nodding, thinking, “Dude, I’m here to install a new system, not join your radio cult.” Then, the real fun begins. I’m up on a ladder, trying to mount this antenna. And guess what? I drop the damn thing! It crashes right into his prized collection. I’m like, “Oh no, please don’t!” But it’s too late. Radios everywhere! I’m sweating bullets, thinking he’s gonna kick me out. But instead, he just laughs. Like, what? He says, “It’s just stuff, man. Life’s too short!” I’m shocked. Who knew a radio collector could be so chill? We end up chatting about music, and he even offers me a slice of his homemade tiramisu. Best thing I’ve ever tasted! After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. I finish the install, and it actually works! I’m high-fiving myself. But then, I step outside, and it starts pouring. Of course! I’m soaked in seconds. I’m sprinting down Via Garibaldi, dodging puddles like a ninja. I finally duck into a little shop. It’s got all these cool local crafts. I’m browsing, and the owner starts talking to me about the history of San-Dona-di-Piave. Did you know it was a major site during WWI? Crazy! I’m learning stuff while trying to dry off. Then, I spot this cute little gelato place. I can’t resist. I grab a cone, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m standing there, enjoying my gelato, when I see a bunch of kids playing soccer in the square. They’re laughing, having a blast. I can’t help but smile. But then, outta nowhere, one of the kids kicks the ball right at me! I’m dodging like I’m in the Matrix. The ball hits a fountain, splashes everywhere. I’m soaked again! The kids are rolling on the ground laughing. I’m laughing too, but inside I’m like, “Really? Again?” Finally, I make my way home, exhausted but happy. San-Dona-di-Piave, you’ve got my heart. You’re a mix of chaos and charm. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Just hope it’s less messy!
