Man, what a day! I woke up in my little cabin, the smell of pine still lingering in my nose. I’m a lumberjack, right? But today, I found myself in San Donato Milanese. Yeah, not exactly the woods, huh? So, I roll into town, and first thing I notice is the traffic on Via Emilia. Like, seriously? It’s a Tuesday, not a Friday! I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinkin’ about how I’d rather be chopping wood than stuck in this mess. I mean, c’mon, people! Move it! Finally, I park near the Parco della Pieve. Nice spot, but man, it was packed! Families everywhere, kids runnin’ wild. I’m just tryin’ to enjoy my coffee from that little café on Via della Libertà. You know the one? The barista, Marco, he’s a good dude. Always knows my order. But today, he was swamped. I waited like 20 minutes! I was about to lose it. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude on a bike just wiped out on the cobblestones. I’m talkin’ full-on cartoon style, arms flailing. I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, c’mon, it was hilarious! But then I felt bad, so I helped him up. Turns out, he was a local artist. We chatted for a bit. He told me about his gallery on Via San Donato. I promised I’d check it out. After that, I decided to stroll through the park. The trees there are beautiful, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of being outta place. I’m used to the woods, not this urban jungle. But hey, the vibe was chill. I saw some folks playing bocce. I love that game! So, I jumped in. I’m not great, but I gave it my all. We laughed, drank some cheap wine, and I felt a bit more at home. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my boss. He’s like, “We need you back at the site!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a bocce match!” But he didn’t care. So, I had to bail. I was so mad! I mean, can’t a lumberjack have a day off? I raced back to my truck, and on the way, I passed by the old church on Piazza della Repubblica. It’s stunning! I always loved that place. The architecture is wild. I snapped a quick pic, but I was in such a rush. Finally, I get to the site, and guess what? It’s just a bunch of logs waiting for me. I could’ve stayed in San Donato! I was so frustrated. I mean, I love my job, but sometimes, I just wanna chill. As the sun set, I thought about the day. It was a rollercoaster. From traffic jams to bike crashes, to bocce games and work stress. San Donato Milanese, you’re a wild ride! I might be a lumberjack, but today, I felt like a city guy. I headed home, tired but happy. I’ll definitely go back to San Donato. Next time, I’ll bring my axe and my friends. We’ll chop some wood and then hit the town. Can’t wait!
