Man, what a day! I swear, San-Giuseppe-Jato never fails to surprise me. Woke up early, like usual, ready to hit the woods and get my charcoal game on. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I’m walking down Via Roma, right? Just minding my own business, when I see this old dude, Signor Pino, trying to fix his ancient Fiat. I mean, c’mon, that car’s older than me! He’s cursing like a sailor, and I can’t help but laugh. “Pino, just let it die in peace!” I shout. He gives me the finger. Classic Pino. So, I finally get to the woods, right? The air smells like pine and smoke. Perfect for charcoal burning. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a drowned rat, thinking, “Great, just great.” But then, I see this family of wild boars. Yup, right there! They’re just chilling, munching on some roots. I’m like, “Hey, guys, I’m trying to work here!” They look at me like I’m the intruder. I mean, who do they think they are? The kings of the forest? After the rain stops, I finally get my fire going. It’s crackling, and I’m feeling good. But then, I hear this loud noise. I look up, and it’s a bunch of kids from the neighborhood. They’re running down Via San Giuseppe, screaming and laughing. One of them trips and falls right into my charcoal pile! I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” They all start laughing, and I can’t help but join in. Kids are wild, man. They don’t care about anything. Just living life. I remember being like that. Carefree. Later, I head to the market on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I need some supplies. The market’s buzzing, full of people. I grab some fresh bread from Signora Maria. She’s always got the best stuff. “You need anything else, my dear?” she asks. I’m like, “Just a miracle to get through today!” She laughs, and I feel a bit better. But then, I see my buddy, Luca. He’s got this crazy idea to start a charcoal business. I’m like, “Dude, you know how hard it is?” He’s all excited, talking about how we can sell it at the market. I’m thinking, “Yeah, right. Good luck with that!” On my way back home, I take a detour through the old part of town. The streets are narrow, and the buildings are all crammed together. It’s charming, but also kinda creepy at night. I pass by the church, San Giuseppe, and it hits me. This place has history. My family’s been here for generations. I finally get home, exhausted. I plop down on my couch, and my cat, Nero, jumps on my lap. He’s purring, and I’m just thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and a bit chaotic. But that’s San-Giuseppe-Jato for ya. Always keeping me on my toes. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully, no more wild boars!
