Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Via Roma, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get ready for my gig. You know, the whole Maiko thing—makeup, kimono, the works. I’m talking layers of fabric, like a walking cake. But I love it! Anyway, I’m rushing, and I spill tea all over my favorite obi. Ugh! Like, why does this always happen to me? I’m cursing under my breath, “Great start, genius!” Finally, I’m out the door, and it’s already hot. San-Marcellino, you’re killing me! I’m walking down Corso Umberto, and it’s packed. Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they’re in a movie. I’m like, “Hey, I’m the star here!” But no one cares. Typical. Then, I hit up Piazza San Marcellino. It’s beautiful, right? But today, it’s like a circus. Kids are running around, and I almost trip over a skateboard. Seriously, who lets their kids skate in a piazza? I’m dodging them like I’m in a video game. “Level up, Maiko dodging skills!” So, I finally get to the tea house. I’m all set to perform, and guess what? The tea is cold. Cold! I’m like, “What is this, a winter festival?” But I smile through it. Gotta keep the vibe, you know? Then, mid-performance, this guy in the front row starts snoring. SNORING! I’m pouring my heart out, and he’s out like a light. I almost lose it. I mean, come on! I’m here in my fancy getup, and he’s catching Z’s. I’m thinking, “Should I throw a tea cup at him?” But I don’t. I just roll my eyes and keep going. After the show, I’m feeling all pumped. I head over to Via Napoli for some pizza. Best pizza ever, right? I order a Margherita, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, the waiter spills olive oil all over my kimono. Seriously? I’m like, “Dude, this is designer!” But I laugh it off. What else can you do? Then, I decide to stroll down Via San Giovanni. It’s so pretty, with all the little shops. I pop into this cute boutique, and they have the cutest accessories. I’m trying on this headpiece, and it’s like, “Yes, queen!” But then I realize it’s way too expensive. I’m like, “I’ll just admire it from afar.” As I’m leaving, I bump into an old friend. We start chatting, and it’s all good vibes. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring rain. Like, what? I’m in a kimono, and now I’m a soggy mess. We run for cover, laughing like crazy. “Only in San-Marcellino!” I shout. Finally, I make it home, drenched but happy. I flop onto my bed, thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unexpected. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. San-Marcellino, you’re a hot mess, but you’re my hot mess. And that’s a wrap! What a day, right? Can’t wait for tomorrow!
