OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, San-Vitaliano, you never cease to amaze me. First off, I woke up late. Like, super late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I was supposed to be at the Rossi family’s place by 9 AM. I rolled outta bed at 8:45. Panic mode activated! I threw on whatever I could find. My hair? A total mess. But hey, it’s San-Vitaliano, no one cares, right? I sprinted down Via Roma, dodging old ladies and their shopping bags. Seriously, they walk like they own the place. I almost tripped over a cat. Like, c’mon, dude, move! Finally made it to the Rossi’s, panting like I just ran a marathon. The kids, oh boy. Little Marco and his sister, Sofia. They were bouncing off the walls. I mean, I love ‘em, but they were like little tornadoes. First thing Marco says? “Can we go to the park?” I’m like, “Sure, but let’s eat first.” So, we grab some breakfast. The best pastries from that little bakery on Via Napoli. You know the one? The one with the best sfogliatelle? Yeah, that one. I swear, I could live off those. Anyway, Marco spills chocolate all over himself. Classic. I’m trying to clean him up, and Sofia’s just laughing. Kids, man. After breakfast, we hit the park. It’s a beautiful day, sun shining, birds chirping. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, what?! I look up, and it’s sunny! I’m confused. We run for cover under a tree on Via San Giovanni. I’m soaked, the kids are soaked, and they’re just giggling. I’m like, “This is not funny!” But deep down, I’m laughing too. Then, the rain stops. Just like that. We head back out, and Marco decides he wants to climb the biggest tree in the park. I’m like, “Dude, be careful!” But he’s already halfway up. I’m standing there, heart racing, thinking, “If he falls, I’m toast.” But he makes it to the top. I’m so proud, but also terrified. After the park, we head back to the Rossi’s. I’m thinking, “Finally, some chill time.” But nope! Sofia wants to do arts and crafts. We’re talking glitter, glue, the whole shebang. I’m trying to keep it together, but glitter is everywhere. I mean, I’ll be finding it in my hair for weeks. Then, the doorbell rings. It’s Mr. Rossi. He walks in, and I swear, he looks like he just ran a marathon too. Turns out, he forgot his keys. Classic dad move. He sees the mess and just shakes his head. I’m like, “Hey, it’s not my fault!” But he laughs it off. Finally, the day winds down. The kids are in bed, and I’m just sitting there, exhausted. I look out the window at San-Vitaliano. The streets are quiet now, and I can see the lights from the little cafes on Via Garibaldi. It’s peaceful. I think about how crazy today was. From the rain to the glitter explosion, it was a rollercoaster. But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. San-Vitaliano, you’re wild, but you’ve got my heart. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another adventure in this crazy little town. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
