Man, what a day! I swear, Sant-Antonio-Abate is wild. Like, I thought I knew this place, but today? Pffft, it threw me for a loop. So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a vacation. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. You know, the usual “I’m-a-snake-spell” vibe. I mean, who needs fashion when you can charm snakes, right? First stop, the market on Via Roma. I needed some fresh herbs for my spells. You know, basil, rosemary, the good stuff. But man, the crowd was insane! People everywhere, like ants on a sugar hill. I bumped into this old lady. She was like, “Watch it, youngin’!” I was like, “Sorry, nonna! Didn’t mean to disturb your shopping spree!” Then, I spotted this cute little café on Via San Giovanni. I thought, “Hey, why not grab a coffee?” So, I ordered a cappuccino. But they gave me a macchiato instead. I was like, “What’s this? A joke?” The barista just shrugged. I mean, come on! I’m not a mind reader! After that, I decided to stroll down to the park. You know, Parco della Rimembranza. It’s got this chill vibe, perfect for a snake spell like me. I sat on a bench, just soaking it all in. Kids were playing, dogs were barking, and I was thinking, “Life’s good.” But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon pooped on my shoulder! Like, seriously? I’m just trying to enjoy my day! I got up, all flustered, and headed towards the church. Sant’Antonio Abate, the big one. It’s beautiful, man. The architecture? Chef’s kiss! But I was still mad about the pigeon. I walked in, hoping for some peace. But nope! There was a wedding happening. The bride looked stunning, but the music? Ugh, too loud! I couldn’t even hear myself think. So, I slipped outta there and decided to hit up the local bookstore on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Books are my jam. I found this old tome about ancient spells. I was like, “This is it!” But then, the owner, this grumpy dude, was like, “That’ll cost ya.” I was like, “Dude, I’m a snake spell, not a millionaire!” Finally, I made my way to the old fountain in Piazza della Libertà. It’s one of my fave spots. I sat there, reflecting on the day. I mean, it was a rollercoaster! Happy, mad, surprised—like a soap opera! As the sun set, I thought about how Sant-Antonio-Abate is full of surprises. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. I love it, even with the pigeon poop and the grumpy bookstore guy. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Sant-Antonio-Abate. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
