Man, what a day! Seriously, Santorso is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? Just another day in this little town. But nah, life had other plans. So, I’m strolling down Via Roma, right? Just vibin’ to my tunes, when BAM! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, c’mon! Really? I’m just tryna enjoy my morning coffee from that cute café, Bar Pasticceria Da Gigi. Their pastries are to die for, but now I’m covered in bird crap. Great start, huh? Anyway, I clean up and head to the park, Parco della Resistenza. It’s usually peaceful, but today? Nah. There’s this group of kids playing soccer, and they’re loud as hell. I’m just tryna chill on a bench, but they’re kicking the ball everywhere. One kid almost nails me in the face. I’m like, “Dude, watch it!” But they just laugh. Kids, man. Then, I decide to grab some gelato at Gelateria La Dolce Vita. Best gelato in town, no cap. I get my usual—pistachio and stracciatella. I’m in heaven, right? But then, I see this old lady struggling with her groceries on Via San Giovanni. So, I’m like, “I gotta help her.” I drop my gelato (NOOO!) and rush over. She’s super grateful, and we start chatting. Turns out, she’s lived in Santorso her whole life. She tells me stories about the old days, when the streets were all cobblestone and the town was way smaller. I’m like, “Wow, that’s kinda cool.” But then, she starts talking about her cat, and I zone out. Cats, man. Not my thing. After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy, so I head to the local market on Piazza della Libertà. It’s bustling! Fresh veggies, fruits, and all that good stuff. I grab some tomatoes, and this vendor, Marco, starts haggling with me. I’m like, “Dude, just give me the tomatoes!” But he’s relentless. I finally get a decent price, but I’m still annoyed. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I duck into a little shop on Via Garibaldi. It’s a cute little place selling handmade crafts. I’m browsing, trying to dry off, when I spot this awesome ceramic mug. I’m like, “I need this!” So, I buy it. Totally worth it. Finally, the rain stops, and I’m feeling good again. I decide to hit up the local bar, Bar Centrale, for a drink. I order an Aperol Spritz, because why not? I sit outside, watching the sunset over the hills. It’s beautiful, man. Santorso really knows how to show off sometimes. But then, I overhear this couple arguing at the next table. They’re going at it, and I’m just trying to enjoy my drink. I can’t help but laugh a little. Like, c’mon, guys, it’s a nice evening! Chill out! As I finish my drink, I realize how crazy today was. From pigeon poop to helping an old lady, to getting soaked and buying a mug. Santorso is full of surprises. I love this town, even when it drives me nuts. So, I head home, thinking about all the wild stuff that happened. I can’t wait to tell my friends. Santorso, you’re a trip!
