Man, what a day! I swear, being a swineherd in Savona ain't for the faint-hearted. So, I wake up, right? Sun's shining, birds chirping, and I'm like, "Today’s gonna be chill." Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Via Paleocapa. Love that street, but today? Ugh. Traffic was a mess. Cars honking like they were in a concert. I’m just trying to get to the market, ya know? I got my pigs to feed, and they don’t care about city traffic. Finally, I get to the Mercato di Savona. It’s buzzing! Fresh veggies, fish, and all that good stuff. I’m eyeing some tomatoes when this old lady bumps into me. She’s like, “Watch it, young man!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m just trying to buy some food for my pigs!” But she just glares at me. I mean, c’mon! I’m not the one who needs to watch it! After that, I’m feeling a bit hangry, so I grab a focaccia from a nearby stand. Best decision ever! It’s warm, fluffy, and just hits the spot. I’m munching away, feeling like a king, when I spot this cute dog. It’s just chilling by the fountain in Piazza Sisto IV. I’m like, “Aww, look at that pup!” But then, outta nowhere, it jumps up and knocks my focaccia right outta my hands! I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” Now I’m mad. I mean, I just wanted a snack! So, I chase after the dog, but it’s too quick. I’m running down Via Mazzini, dodging people like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. I finally catch up, and guess what? The dog’s owner is laughing! I’m like, “Dude, your dog just ruined my lunch!” But he’s all chill, says, “Hey, it’s just a dog being a dog.” I mean, sure, but I’m still hungry! So, I decide to head to the beach. Maybe some sea air will calm me down. I stroll down to the Lungomare, and wow, the view is stunning! The waves crashing, the sun glistening on the water. I take a deep breath, and for a moment, I forget about the focaccia disaster. But then, I see a bunch of tourists taking selfies. They’re blocking the path, and I’m like, “C’mon, people! Move it!” I finally make it to the sand, plop down, and just chill. I’m watching the kids play, and it’s kinda heartwarming. But then, I see a seagull swoop down and steal a kid’s ice cream! I’m cracking up! Like, that bird’s got some serious skills. As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling better. I think about my pigs. They’re probably wondering where I am. I head back, but not before stopping at a gelato place. I mean, I deserve it after today, right? I get a scoop of pistachio, and it’s heavenly. On my way home, I pass by the old fortress, the Priamar. It’s so cool, like a piece of history just chillin’ in the middle of the city. I think about how lucky I am to live in Savona. Sure, it’s chaotic, but it’s my chaos. Finally, I get home, and my pigs are waiting. They’re snorting like they missed me or something. I feed them, and it’s like all the craziness of the day just melts away. I’m exhausted but happy. So yeah, that was my day in Savona. Full of ups and downs, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a swineherd, I guess!
