Man, what a day in Scampia! I swear, I thought I knew this place, but today? Total rollercoaster. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Cupa, my usual spot for a quick coffee. You know, the one with the old guy who always tries to charge me extra? Yeah, that one. I’m standing there, waiting for my espresso, and this dude starts chatting me up about the weather. Like, bro, it’s Scampia! It’s either hot or hotter. Anyway, I finally get my coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and boom! I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? So, I’m walking down Via G. Marconi, trying to look cool with my coffee-stained shirt. I pass by the market, and man, the vibe is electric! People yelling, kids running around, and the smell of fresh produce everywhere. I see this old lady selling tomatoes, and she’s like, “Hey, you! You want some of my best tomatoes?” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” I grab a couple, and she gives me this look like I just won the lottery. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud commotion. I turn around, and there’s a street performer doing some insane breakdancing. I mean, this guy was flipping and spinning like he was on fire! The crowd’s going wild, and I’m just standing there, mouth agape. I pull out my phone to record, and guess what? My battery dies. Ugh! After that, I decide to head over to the Parco di Scampia. I need some fresh air, ya know? I’m strolling through, and it’s kinda peaceful. But then, I see this group of kids playing soccer. They’re all hyped up, and I’m like, “Man, I used to be like them.” So, I join in. Big mistake! I kick the ball, and it goes straight into a bush. I’m crawling through the bushes like a raccoon, and the kids are laughing their heads off. I finally get the ball, but now I’m covered in leaves. Great. Feeling a bit embarrassed, I decide to grab a bite. I hit up this little pizzeria on Via G. D’Annunzio. Best pizza in Scampia, no cap. I order a margherita, and while I’m waiting, I overhear this guy talking about the local football team. Apparently, they’re doing better this season. I’m like, “Finally! Some good news!” But then, as I’m about to dig into my pizza, I get a call. It’s my buddy, and he’s freaking out about something. Turns out, he lost his wallet at the market. I’m like, “Dude, you’re a mess!” But I can’t leave him hanging, so I rush back to the market. I’m running through the streets, dodging people like I’m in a video game. I get to the market, and it’s chaos. I start asking around, and finally, this nice lady tells me she saw a guy pick up a wallet. My heart sinks. I’m thinking, “Great, now we gotta hunt down a thief.” Long story short, we find the guy. He’s just a kid, probably no older than 15. He’s like, “I thought it was lost!” I’m ready to lose it, but then I see he’s scared. I mean, who wouldn’t be? So, I just take the wallet back and tell him to be more careful next time. Finally, I head back home, exhausted. I flop onto my bed, and I’m like, “What a day!” Scampia, man. It’s wild. It’s chaotic. But it’s home. And even with all the craziness, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of spills, thrills, and a bit of drama. Just another day in Scampia, I guess!
