Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a euro for every crazy thing that happened in Scanzo-Rosciate today, I’d be rich. So, I wake up, right? Just another day as a machinist. I’m thinking, “Let’s get this bread.” But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I’m cruising down Via Roma, and my bike decides to act like it’s possessed. The chain snaps! Like, c’mon! I’m standing there, cursing like a sailor. I mean, who needs a workout when you can just push a bike uphill, right? So, I’m sweating buckets, dragging this thing towards the workshop. Finally get there, and my boss, Marco, is already in a mood. He’s pacing like a lion in a cage. “Where’s the new lathe?” he barks. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s on its way.” But he’s not having it. He’s all about that precision, you know? I get it, but sometimes you gotta breathe, man! Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Luca shows up. He’s got this wild idea to take a break at the local bar, Bar Centrale. I’m like, “Dude, we’re on the clock!” But he’s got that look in his eye, you know? The “let’s live a little” look. So, we sneak out for a quick espresso. Best decision ever! The barista, Maria, makes the best coffee in town. I swear, it’s like liquid gold. After that, I’m feeling pumped. We head back, and guess what? The lathe finally arrives! But it’s all messed up. I mean, how do you screw up a delivery? It’s like ordering a pizza and getting a salad. I’m fuming! I can’t even. So, I’m trying to fix it, right? And I’m elbow-deep in grease when I hear this commotion outside. I peek out, and there’s a parade! Like, what? In Scanzo-Rosciate? Turns out, it’s some local festival. People are dancing in the streets, music blasting. I’m thinking, “Why am I stuck here?” But then, I see this old lady, Nonna Rosa, dancing like she’s 20. She’s got moves! I can’t help but laugh. It’s infectious. I drop the tools and join the crowd. We’re all just vibing, forgetting about work. It’s like the whole city came alive. After a while, I’m back at the workshop, but my heart’s still at that parade. I’m smiling like an idiot. Marco walks in, sees me grinning, and he’s like, “What’s with you?” I just shrug. “Life’s too short, man.” The day drags on, and I’m finally wrapping up. I’m exhausted but happy. I ride home, and the sunset over the hills of Scanzo-Rosciate is stunning. The colors are wild, like someone spilled paint in the sky. I stop for a sec, just to soak it in. So, yeah, today was a rollercoaster. From bike troubles to parades, it was a mess, but a beautiful mess. I love this city, with its quirks and surprises. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
