Man, what a day! I woke up in Senise, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m not even sure why I decided to go out. Maybe it was the sun shining through my window on Via Roma, or maybe I just needed a break from my couch. Either way, I was out the door before I could change my mind. So, I hit up the local café on Piazza San Giovanni. You know, the one with the best cornetti? Yeah, that place. I ordered my usual—cappuccino and a pastry. But guess what? They were out of cornetti! Like, seriously? How do you run out of cornetti in the morning? I was fuming. I mean, come on! It’s like a pizza place running outta dough. So, I settled for a brioche. Not the same, but whatever. After that, I decided to stroll down Via Garibaldi. It’s a cute street, all cobblestones and little shops. I was just vibin’, you know? Then, outta nowhere, I bumped into my old buddy Marco. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! He’s still the same—loud, funny, and always has a story. We ended up chatting for like an hour. He told me about his new job at the olive oil factory. I mean, who knew that was a thing? He was so pumped about it, I almost got excited too. Almost. But then, the mood shifted. I was walking past the old church, San Domenico, when I saw this guy yelling at his dog. Like, dude, chill! The dog was just sniffing around. I wanted to tell him to relax, but I didn’t wanna get involved. So, I just kept walking. But seriously, some people need to learn how to chill. Next, I decided to hit up the market on Via Vittorio Emanuele. It’s always buzzing with life. Fresh fruits, veggies, and all that good stuff. I was in heaven. I grabbed some tomatoes that looked like they were just picked. I mean, they were practically glowing! But then, I saw this lady arguing with the vendor over prices. Like, lady, it’s a market, not a negotiation table! I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. After that, I needed a break from all the drama. So, I found a bench near the fountain in the park. Just sat there, soaking it all in. Kids were playing, old folks were chatting, and I was just... existing. It was nice. But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon decided my head was a good landing spot. Ugh! I freaked out, flailed my arms, and scared the poor thing away. I mean, come on! I don’t need that kind of excitement in my life. Feeling a bit defeated, I decided to head home. But on my way back, I took a detour through the narrow streets of Senise. They’re so charming, but also kinda creepy at night. I swear, I heard a cat screeching somewhere. I was like, “Nope, not today!” I picked up my pace and got outta there. Finally, I made it back to my place. I flopped on the couch, exhausted. What a day, right? I mean, from cornetti drama to pigeon attacks, it was a wild ride. But that’s Senise for ya. Always keeping you on your toes. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. It’s my crazy little corner of the world.
