Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Sennori is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m hustlin’ down Via Roma, dodging tourists like they’re pigeons. Seriously, these folks don’t know how to walk! I’m late for the auction at the old church on Via Garibaldi. It’s a beautiful spot, but man, the acoustics are wild. You can hear a pin drop, or a cat meow, or whatever. Anyway, I get there, and the place is packed. Like, standing-room-only packed. I’m thinkin’, “Great, more eyes on me. No pressure!” So, I start my spiel, right? And just as I’m about to get into the groove, this dude in the back yells, “Hey! You missed my bid!” I’m like, “Bro, chill! I’m not a mind reader!” But he’s all riled up, waving his hands like he’s trying to take off. I mean, c’mon, it’s just an old vase! But it’s Sennori, and people get passionate about their antiques. Then, outta nowhere, this lady in the front row starts crying. I’m like, “What’s happening? Did I say something wrong?” Turns out, she was bidding on her late grandmother’s stuff. Man, that hit me right in the feels. I had to pause, take a breath, and remind myself it’s just a job. But it’s not just a job, ya know? It’s about stories, memories, and all that jazz. After the auction, I’m walking down Via Cavour, still buzzing from the chaos. I stop by this little café, Bar Pasticceria Sennorese. Best pastries ever! I grab a cannoli, and it’s like a party in my mouth. But then, I spill coffee all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m standing there, looking like a mess, and the barista just laughs. “You’re a real auctioneer now!” she says. I can’t even be mad. So, I’m cleaning up, and I overhear these locals talking about the old town square, Piazza della Libertà. Apparently, they’re planning some big festival. I’m like, “Count me in!” Sennori knows how to throw a party. I mean, the food, the music, the vibe—it’s electric! But then, I get a call. My buddy, Marco, is in trouble. He’s stuck at the market on Via Nazionale, and he needs help. I rush over, dodging more tourists. Seriously, they’re everywhere! I finally get to the market, and Marco’s surrounded by a bunch of angry vendors. Turns out, he tried to haggle too hard. Classic Marco! I step in, do my auctioneer thing, and somehow, we smooth things over. I’m sweating bullets, but hey, I saved the day! We grab some gelato afterward, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. As the sun sets over Sennori, I’m walking back home, reflecting on the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unpredictable. But that’s what I love about this city. It’s alive, it’s messy, and it’s full of surprises. So yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, beautiful day in Sennori. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
