Man, what a day! I woke up in Sovico, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m an anticorrosion agent, right? Sounds fancy, but really, I just make sure metal doesn’t rust away. But today? Today was a whole different story. So, I’m cruisin’ down Via Roma, and it’s like, 8 AM. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Wrong! I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “Yo, we got a big job at the old factory on Via Garibaldi.” Great, just great. I was hoping for a quiet day, but nope! I rush over there, dodging scooters and old ladies with shopping bags. Seriously, they walk like they own the road! I finally get to the factory, and it’s a mess. Rust everywhere! I mean, it looked like a metal graveyard. I’m talkin’ about more rust than metal. I’m like, “What the heck happened here?” Turns out, they had a leak in the roof. Classic Sovico, right? Always something goin’ wrong. I start my work, and it’s hot. Like, sweat-drippin’-down-my-back hot. I’m spraying this anticorrosion stuff everywhere, and I swear, I’m inhaling half of it. Not the best for my lungs, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do. Then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and lands on my shoulder. I freak out! I’m flailing my arms like a maniac. The guys from the factory are laughing their butts off. I’m like, “Dude, get this bird off me!” After that little fiasco, I finally get into a groove. I’m in the zone, right? Then, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude just knocked over a stack of metal sheets. I’m like, “Seriously, bro? You had one job!” He just shrugs and walks away. I’m fuming. Like, how hard is it to be careful? By noon, I’m starving. I head over to this little café on Via Cavour. Best panini in town, no joke. I order one with prosciutto and mozzarella, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m sitting there, enjoying my food, when I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just trying to eat my lunch! I mean, come on, Sovico, can’t a guy have a peaceful meal? After lunch, I head back to the factory. I’m almost done, and I’m feeling good. Then, I get a call from my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the park later. There’s a street fair!” I’m like, “Heck yeah!” I finish up my work, and I’m outta there. I rush over to Parco della Vittoria. It’s packed! Food stalls, games, music—everything! I grab a gelato, and it’s like the best thing ever. I’m walking around, soaking it all in, when I see this guy juggling fire. I’m like, “What the heck? Is this Sovico or Vegas?” It’s wild! Then, I spot Marco. We hang out, and he tells me about this crazy rumor going around. Apparently, there’s a ghost haunting the old church on Via Mazzini. I’m like, “Dude, you’re kidding, right?” But he’s dead serious. I’m laughing, but also kinda freaked out. As the sun sets, the vibe is just perfect. I’m feeling all the good energy. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, really rain. Everyone’s scrambling for cover, and I’m just standing there, laughing. I mean, what else can you do? So, I end my day soaked but happy. Sovico, man, it’s a wild place. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
