Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a Maiko, right? And today was just... ugh, intense. Like, I woke up in my little room on Via Roma, and I could already feel the chaos brewing. First off, the weather was all over the place. One minute, it’s sunny, and the next, boom! Rain. I mean, c’mon, Spinazzola! Get it together! I had to rush to get my kimono on, and let me tell ya, it’s not easy when you’re trying to dodge raindrops. So, I’m out there, strutting down Corso Vittorio Emanuele, feeling all cute and stuff. But then, I step in a puddle. Like, seriously? My geta (those wooden sandals) are soaked! I was so mad, I could’ve screamed. But then I saw this cute little café on the corner, Bar Centrale, and I thought, “Okay, maybe a coffee will fix this.” I walk in, and it’s packed! Like, everyone in Spinazzola decided to get their caffeine fix at the same time. I’m standing there, waiting, and this old dude in front of me is taking forever. I’m like, “Dude, it’s just coffee, not rocket science!” Finally, I get my cappuccino, and it’s perfect. Like, the foam is on point. I take a sip, and suddenly, life is good again. But then, I step outside, and guess what? The rain starts again. Ugh! I’m dodging raindrops like I’m in some weird game of hopscotch. I decide to head to the castle, Castello Normanno, because, you know, history and all that jazz. I get there, and it’s beautiful! The view from the top is insane. You can see all of Spinazzola, the hills, the vineyards. I’m feeling all philosophical, like, “Wow, life is so big, and I’m just a tiny Maiko in this huge world.” But then, I trip on a stone. Classic me, right? I almost faceplant, but I catch myself. Phew! So, I’m up there, and I see this group of tourists. They’re taking selfies, and I’m like, “Hey, I’m a Maiko! Take a pic with me!” They’re all excited, and I’m posing like a pro. But then, one of them drops their phone. It’s like slow-mo, and I’m just standing there, watching it happen. It smashes on the ground. Oof! I felt bad, but also kinda amused. After that, I’m walking down Via San Rocco, and I see this street vendor selling the best arancini. I mean, who can resist? I grab one, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m in heaven! But then, I realize I’ve got rice all over my kimono. Great. Just great. Now I’m feeling a mix of happy and frustrated. I’m like, “Why can’t I just have one normal day?” But then I remember, this is Spinazzola! It’s all about the unexpected. As I’m heading back, I bump into my friend, Luca. He’s like, “Hey, wanna join me for a drink?” And I’m like, “Heck yes!” We hit up this little bar on Via Garibaldi, and it’s chill. We’re laughing, sharing stories, and I forget all about the puddles and the rain. But then, outta nowhere, this guy starts singing. Like, full-on opera style. I’m dying! It’s so random, but also kinda amazing. The whole bar is into it, and I’m just sitting there, thinking, “Only in Spinazzola, man.” By the end of the night, I’m exhausted but happy. I mean, yeah, it was a rollercoaster, but that’s life, right? I head home, and I can’t help but smile. Spinazzola, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
