Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Kvasnik in Sulmona is no joke. I woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Sulmona, and lemme tell ya, the vibe was off the charts. I strolled down Corso Ovidio, feelin’ all good, when BAM! A pigeon poops right on my shoulder. Like, seriously? Who do I gotta talk to about this? I mean, come on, I’m just tryin’ to enjoy my morning espresso at Caffè Letterario. So, I shake it off, right? I’m like, “Whatever, it’s just a little bird poop.” I grab my coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. Best espresso in town, no doubt. But then, I see this street performer on Via Garibaldi. He’s playin’ the accordion, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re killin’ it!” I toss him a couple of coins, and he gives me this huge smile. Made my day, honestly. But then, I head over to the market at Piazza Garibaldi. Oh man, the chaos! People everywhere, haggling over fresh produce. I’m tryin’ to get some of that famous Sulmona confetti (the candy, not the party stuff), and this old lady cuts in front of me. I’m like, “Excuse me, ma’am, I was here first!” She just glares at me. I mean, c’mon! After that, I’m feelin’ a bit hangry, so I decide to grab a slice of pizza at Pizzeria Da Michele. Best pizza in the world, I swear! I order a margherita, and while I’m waitin’, I overhear this couple arguing about where to go for dinner. I’m like, “Dude, just come to Sulmona! You can’t go wrong!” Finally, I get my pizza, and it’s glorious. I take a bite, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m in heaven! But then, I spill some sauce on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a mess. So, I’m walkin’ back, tryin’ to clean up, when I bump into an old friend from high school. We start catchin’ up, and he tells me he’s movin’ to Rome. I’m like, “What? You can’t leave Sulmona! We’ve got the best views of the Majella mountains!” But he’s all about the big city life now. I get it, but still, it stings a bit. As the sun starts settin’, I decide to take a stroll by the Sulmona Cathedral. It’s beautiful, man. The architecture is just stunning. I sit on a bench, watchin’ the world go by, and I can’t help but feel grateful. This city, with its cobblestone streets and vibrant culture, it’s home. But then, outta nowhere, a dog runs up to me, all excited. I’m like, “Hey buddy!” But then it jumps on me, and I’m covered in fur. I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “Really? Can’t a Kvasnik catch a break?” As I head home, I reflect on the day. It was wild, emotional, and full of surprises. Sulmona, you never cease to amaze me. I love this place, even with the pigeon poop and the crazy market days. Here’s to more adventures in this beautiful city!
