Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a barber in Taglio is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I roll into the shop on Via Roma, right? The sun’s blazin’, and I’m already sweatin’ like a sinner in church. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First client walks in. This dude, Marco, he’s got hair like a lion. I mean, seriously, bro, it’s like a jungle up there. He sits down, and I’m like, “What’s the plan?” He goes, “Just a trim.” A trim? More like a full-on rescue mission! I’m snippin’ away, and he starts tellin’ me about his date last night. Apparently, he took this girl to that new pizza place on Piazza della Libertà. I’m like, “Dude, did you at least get her a slice?” He laughs, but I can see he’s nervous. Then, outta nowhere, the door swings open. It’s Carla, my favorite regular. She’s got this wild energy, always crackin’ jokes. She bursts in, “I need a haircut like yesterday!” I’m like, “Chill, Carla, I’m busy savin’ Marco’s hair!” But she’s relentless. “I’ll pay double!” Now, I’m torn. Money talks, ya know? But Marco’s sittin’ there, lookin’ like he’s about to pass out. So, I finish Marco’s mane, and he looks in the mirror. His eyes go wide. “Bro, I look like a new man!” I’m like, “Yeah, but don’t go breakin’ hearts now.” He leaves, and I’m feelin’ good. But then Carla’s up next. She plops down, and I swear, she’s got more hair products than a beauty salon. “Let’s do somethin’ wild!” she says. I’m thinkin’, “Wild? In Taglio? You sure?” As I’m workin’ on her hair, she starts talkin’ about the festival comin’ up. You know, the one on Via Garibaldi? The whole town’s gonna be there, food stalls, music, the works. I’m gettin’ hyped just listenin’ to her. But then, she drops a bomb. “I heard they’re bringin’ in a DJ from Milan!” I’m like, “No way! That’s gonna be lit!” But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. Just like that. I’m in the dark, scissors in hand, and Carla’s like, “What now?” I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great.” I can’t see a thing! So, I’m like, “Let’s just vibe, girl.” We start crackin’ jokes in the dark, and it’s actually kinda fun. Finally, the lights flicker back on. I finish Carla’s hair, and she looks in the mirror. “I’m ready to take on the world!” she says. I’m like, “Or at least the festival.” She leaves, and I’m feelin’ accomplished. But then, my buddy Luca strolls in. He’s got this wild idea. “Let’s hit the beach at Lago di Taglio after work!” I’m like, “Dude, it’s already late!” But he’s persistent. “C’mon, man, we need to unwind!” So, I’m thinkin’, “Why not?” We grab some gelato from that little shop on Via Mazzini. Best gelato in town, hands down. I get pistachio, he goes for stracciatella. We’re sittin’ by the lake, laughin’ about the day. I’m thinkin’, “This is what it’s all about.” But then, I see this guy tryin’ to impress some girls. He trips and falls right into the water. I’m dyin’ of laughter! Like, bro, you had one job! The girls are crackin’ up too. It’s a whole scene. As the sun sets, I’m feelin’ grateful. Taglio’s got its quirks, but it’s home. Crazy days, wild stories, and good vibes. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a barber, ya know?
