Man, what a day! I swear, Terme is wild. I mean, I thought I was ready for anything, but today? Pffft, it threw me for a loop. So, I’m a stunt guy, right? Yeah, I know, dangerous biz. But today? Today was next level. I woke up in my tiny apartment on Via Roma. You know, the one with the peeling paint and the weird smell? Yeah, that one. I had my coffee, which was basically jet fuel. Needed it. I was already feeling the jitters. I had a gig lined up at the Terme di Saturnia. You know, the hot springs? Gorgeous place, but man, it can be a real pain to get to. So, I hop on my bike, zooming down Via delle Terme. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. I’m cruising, feeling like a boss, when BAM! A pigeon flies right in front of me. I swerve, almost eat pavement. Like, c’mon, dude! You wanna die today? Finally, I get to the springs. It’s packed. Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they’re at the Louvre or something. I’m just trying to find my crew. I spot them by the big ol’ thermal pool. They’re all hyped, talking about how they’re gonna film this epic stunt. I’m like, “Cool, cool, let’s do this.” But then, outta nowhere, the director decides to change the whole plan. “Let’s do a fire stunt!” he says. Fire? Really? In a hot spring? I mean, I’m all for drama, but c’mon! So, we set up, and I’m trying to keep my cool. But inside? I’m like, “This is gonna end badly.” We light the flames, and it’s like a scene from a movie. I’m jumping through fire, and it’s intense. But then, I slip. My foot hits the wet rocks, and I’m going down. I’m flailing, arms everywhere, and I’m thinking, “This is it. I’m gonna be the guy who died in a hot spring.” But I catch myself, barely. Heart’s racing, adrenaline pumping. I’m alive! After that, I’m feeling pumped. I mean, I survived! But then, I look around, and the tourists are filming me. Like, really? You’re gonna post that? I’m just trying to not die here! I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. Then, out of nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s like, “You’re my hero!” I’m like, “Dude, I almost died!” But he’s all starry-eyed, and I can’t help but smile. Kids, man. They see the world differently. So, we finish the shoot, and I’m feeling good. I head back down Via delle Terme, still buzzing from the day. But then, I hit a pothole. My bike goes sideways, and I’m flying again. This time, I land in a bush. A freaking bush! I’m tangled up, and I can hear people laughing. Great. Just great. I finally get up, brush myself off, and head to a café on Via della Libertà. I need a drink. I order a spritz, and the bartender’s like, “You look like you’ve had a day.” You think? I’m just trying to survive Terme! As I sit there, sipping my drink, I can’t help but think about how crazy life is. One minute you’re jumping through fire, the next you’re in a bush. But that’s what makes it fun, right? Terme’s got this vibe. It’s beautiful, chaotic, and full of surprises. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a stunt guy in Terme. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully, no more bushes.
