Man, what a day! I swear, Teverola is wild. I’m a shooter, right? Security, you know? But today? Today was somethin’ else. So, I roll outta bed, grab my coffee from that little café on Via Roma. You know the one? The barista there, Marco, he’s a legend. Always cracks jokes. “Hey, you need a double shot for that face!” Classic Marco. I laugh, but I’m like, “Dude, I’m just tryin’ to survive.” Anyway, I head to my post near the park. It’s a chill spot, usually. But today? Nah, not at all. I’m just mindin’ my business when I see this dude on Via Napoli. He’s actin’ all sketchy, right? Like, what’s up with that? I’m thinkin’, “Bro, you’re in Teverola, not a crime movie.” Then, outta nowhere, this lady starts yellin’. Turns out, her dog ran off. I mean, c’mon! It’s a dog, not a rocket! But she’s freakin’ out. I can’t help but chuckle. “Lady, it’s just a pup!” But she’s not havin’ it. I get it, though. Dogs are family. So, I’m tryin’ to keep an eye on the sketchy dude and help this lady. Multitaskin’ like a pro, right? But then, the dude bolts! I’m like, “Oh hell no!” I chase after him down Via Roma. I’m sprintin’, heart racin’. I finally catch up to him near the old church, you know, the one with the cracked bell? He’s just standin’ there, lookin’ confused. I’m like, “What’s your deal, man?” He’s like, “I was just tryin’ to get away from my ex!” I can’t even. “Dude, you scared the life outta me!” So, I let him go. I mean, who am I to judge? We’ve all been there, right? After that, I head back to the park. I’m still buzzin’ from the chase. I sit down, take a breather. Then, this kid comes up to me. He’s like, “Mister, are you a superhero?” I laugh. “Nah, just a guy with a badge.” But he’s starin’ at me like I’m some kinda legend. Kids, man. They see the world differently. Then, I spot a couple of old dudes on Via Garibaldi, playin’ cards. They’re so into it, shoutin’ and laughin’. I can’t help but smile. That’s Teverola for ya. It’s got this vibe, you know? People just livin’ their lives, doin’ their thing. But then, bam! A car zooms by, and I swear it almost hits a cyclist. I’m like, “What the heck?!” I jump up, ready to intervene. But the cyclist? He’s got moves! Swerves like a pro. I’m impressed. By now, I’m feelin’ all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. It’s a rollercoaster. I grab a slice of pizza from that spot on Via Roma. Best pizza ever, by the way. I’m munchin’ away, thinkin’ about how crazy today’s been. As the sun sets, I’m just chillin’ on a bench, watchin’ the world go by. Teverola’s got this magic. The streets, the people, the chaos. It’s messy, but it’s home. I head back to my car, exhausted but satisfied. What a day, right? Just another day in Teverola. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
