Man, what a day! I woke up in Tolmezzo, and I swear, I thought I was still dreaming. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was like, “Today’s gonna be lit!” Little did I know, right? So, I hit the streets, and first stop was Via Roma. I love that street! It’s got this vibe, ya know? Cafés everywhere, people chillin’, and the smell of fresh pastries wafting through the air. I grabbed a cappuccino from this tiny place called Caffè Centrale. Best coffee ever! I mean, I could swim in it. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. My buddy Marco texts me. “Dude, meet me at Piazza del Municipio!” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So I chug my coffee and head over. Piazza del Municipio is always buzzing. It’s like the heart of Tolmezzo. I get there, and Marco’s late. Classic Marco, right? I’m standing there, people-watching, and I see this old dude feeding pigeons. I’m cracking up because these pigeons are like, “Yo, we’re VIPs now!” Finally, Marco shows up, all outta breath. He’s like, “Sorry, man! Got caught up in traffic.” Traffic? In Tolmezzo? I mean, c’mon! It’s not like we’re in Rome or something. We decide to hit up Via Garibaldi next. It’s got this cool mix of shops and street art. I’m vibin’ with the murals, and then I spot this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing it!” I toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me a wink. I’m basically a rockstar now, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. Marco’s laughing his head off. “Welcome to Tolmezzo, bro!” I’m like, “Yeah, thanks for the heads up!” We duck into a little trattoria called Trattoria Da Nino. Best decision ever! We order some gnocchi, and I’m telling you, it’s like a hug in a bowl. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, the waiter spills water all over me. I’m like, “Dude, really?” But I can’t even be mad. I just laugh it off. After that, we decide to check out the Parco della Rimembranza. It’s this beautiful park with views of the mountains. I’m standing there, looking at the scenery, and I’m just hit with this wave of gratitude. Like, how did I get so lucky to be here? But then, I see a squirrel. And not just any squirrel. This little guy is bold! He runs right up to me, and I’m like, “What’s up, buddy?” He snatches a piece of my gnocchi! I’m shocked! I’m like, “Hey! That’s mine!” But he just stares at me, munching away. I can’t even be mad. As the sun sets, we stroll back through Via Roma. The lights are twinkling, and it’s magical. I’m feeling all the feels. But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m on the ground, laughing like a maniac. Marco’s dying next to me. Finally, we end the night at a bar called Bar Sport. We grab a couple of drinks, and I’m just reflecting on the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unexpected. I mean, who knew Tolmezzo could throw so much at me in one day? So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a squirrel that stole my food. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
