Man, what a day! I swear, Tor-Tre-Teste is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring install day. Boy, was I wrong! First off, I hit the road on Via di Tor Tre Teste. Traffic was a mess. Like, come on! It’s 8 AM, people! Get it together! I’m just trying to get to my first job at this café on Via dei Cessati Spiriti. Sounds fancy, right? But nah, it’s just a little joint with the best espresso. I needed that caffeine fix. So, I roll up, and the owner, Marco, is all stressed. He’s like, “Dude, my Wi-Fi is down! Customers are losing it!” I’m like, “Chill, bro, I got this.” But inside, I’m thinking, “Why do I always get the emergency calls?” I dive into the router like it’s a puzzle. Turns out, the thing was older than my grandma! I mean, c’mon! It’s 2023! I had to explain to Marco that he needed an upgrade. He looked at me like I just told him his dog was adopted. After that, I’m feeling good, right? I head over to Via di Torrenova. I’m supposed to install some speakers for a local band. I get there, and the band is a bunch of kids. They’re all hyped, talking about their “big break.” I’m like, “Sure, kid, let’s get your sound right.” But then, outta nowhere, the lead singer trips over a cable. I’m talking full-on faceplant! I couldn’t help but laugh. He gets up, all embarrassed, and says, “I’m just testing the stage dive!” Classic! So, I finish up, and they start jamming. The sound is epic! I’m feeling like a rockstar myself. But then, the power goes out. Just my luck, right? I’m standing there, in the dark, thinking, “What’s next? A meteor shower?” I head out to Via di Villa Bonelli. I’m supposed to meet a client who’s been waiting forever. I get there, and he’s not even home! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I could’ve been at home binge-watching my favorite show. Finally, I get a call from him. He’s stuck in traffic on Via Casilina. I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing me!” But whatever, I wait. I’m scrolling through my phone, and I see a meme about installers. It says, “We fix your problems, but we can’t fix your life.” So true! When he finally shows up, he’s all flustered. I get to work, and he’s asking a million questions. “What’s this do? How does that work?” I’m thinking, “Bro, I’m not your tech support for life!” But I smile and explain everything. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I head back home, driving down Via di Tor Tre Teste again. The sunset is beautiful, though. I can’t help but feel grateful. This city, with all its quirks, keeps me on my toes. I get home, kick off my shoes, and plop on the couch. What a day! I’m beat, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tor-Tre-Teste, you crazy place, you’ve got my heart!
