Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a glazier in Torbole-Casaglia is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my tools and head out. I’m walkin’ down Via Roma, and I swear, the coffee smell hits me like a freight train. I stop at this little café, Bar Centrale, for a quick espresso. Best decision ever! I mean, who can resist a good shot of caffeine? Not me! I down it like it’s water, and I’m feelin’ pumped. Then, I get a call. My boss, Marco, is like, “Yo, we got a big job at Via Garibaldi.” I’m thinkin’, “Great, more glass to cut.” But hey, it’s work, right? So I hustle over there. When I get to Via Garibaldi, I see this massive old building. It’s got character, ya know? But the windows? Ugh, they’re a disaster. Cracked, dirty, and just plain sad. I’m like, “Who let this happen?” I mean, come on, people! I start measuring and cutting, and then BAM! I drop a piece of glass. It shatters everywhere. I’m standing there, heart racing, thinking, “Great, just great.” I’m picking up shards, and I can feel the eyes of passersby on me. Like, “Look at the clumsy glazier!” Thanks, guys, real supportive. But then, outta nowhere, this little kid runs up. He’s like, “Mister, can I help?” I’m like, “Sure, kid! Just don’t cut yourself!” He starts picking up pieces, and I’m like, “Wow, this kid’s got guts.” Made my day, honestly. After that, I finally get the new glass in. It’s shiny, it’s perfect. I step back, and I’m like, “Damn, I’m good.” But then, the owner comes out. She’s all smiles until she sees the price. Her face drops. I’m thinkin’, “Uh-oh, here we go.” She starts haggling like we’re at a market. I’m like, “Lady, this ain’t a flea market!” Finally, we settle on a price, and I’m outta there. I head down to the lake, ya know, just to chill. Torbole-Casaglia by the water is beautiful. The mountains, the breeze, it’s like a postcard. I sit on a bench, and I’m just soaking it all in. But then, I see this guy trying to kite surf. He’s all geared up, looking like a pro. But the wind? It’s not cooperating. He’s flailing around like a fish outta water. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, come on, dude! As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling good. I head back home, and I’m thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and a bit chaotic. But that’s life, right? Just like Torbole-Casaglia, it’s got its ups and downs. So, yeah, that was my day. A glazier’s life in this crazy little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
