Man, what a day! I swear, Torre-Santa-Susanna is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Just another day studying the whole “attractiveness of professions” thing. But nah, not today! First off, I hit up Via Roma for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m talking about that strong espresso that kicks you in the face. I’m standing there, waiting, and this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s like, “You know, back in my day…” and I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, grandpa, I get it.” But he’s got stories, man! He’s telling me about the old market on Piazza della Libertà. Apparently, it was the place to be. I’m thinking, “Why don’t they bring that back?” So, I finally get my coffee, and I’m feeling pumped. I stroll down Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The sun’s shining, people are out, and I’m vibing. Then, BAM! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, seriously?! I’m standing there, looking like a mess. I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. I mean, come on, Torre-Santa-Susanna! Can’t a guy catch a break? I wipe it off, and I’m like, “Whatever, let’s keep it movin’.” I head over to the park by the church, you know, Chiesa Madre. It’s beautiful there. Kids are playing, couples are holding hands, and I’m just sitting on a bench, thinking about life. I see this guy trying to impress a girl. He’s doing all these tricks with a soccer ball. But then, he trips and falls flat on his face. I can’t help but laugh. Like, dude, you had one job! After that, I decide to check out the local shops. I hit up this little bakery on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. Best pastries ever! I grab a sfogliatella, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m munching away, and this lady behind the counter starts talking about how Torre-Santa-Susanna is the best place to live. I’m nodding, but inside I’m like, “Yeah, but have you seen the traffic on Via Roma?” It’s a nightmare! Then, I get this wild idea. I wanna interview some locals about their jobs. So, I start asking people on the street. Most are super chill, but this one guy gets all defensive. He’s like, “Why you wanna know about my job?” I’m just trying to understand what makes people tick, man! But he’s not having it. I’m thinking, “Dude, relax. I’m not here to steal your secrets!” As the day goes on, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. It’s like a rollercoaster. I walk past the old castle ruins, and I’m just in awe. It’s so cool to think about the history here. But then, I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I’m laughing at myself again. Finally, I end up at a little bar on Via della Repubblica. I grab a drink and sit outside. The sun’s setting, and it’s gorgeous. I’m reflecting on the day, and I realize Torre-Santa-Susanna is full of surprises. It’s messy, it’s beautiful, and it’s real. Just like life, you know? So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Torre-Santa-Susanna, you’ve got my heart. Even if you do have a lot of pigeons!
