Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in Tradate, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the usual spot. The barista, Marco, he’s a legend. He knows my order by heart. But today? He spills my cappuccino all over the counter. I’m like, “Dude, what’s the deal?” He just laughs it off. I mean, come on! I need my caffeine fix, not a coffee shower! After that, I stroll down to the park, Parco della Villa, to clear my head. It’s beautiful there, man. The trees, the flowers, all that good stuff. But then I see this kid, like, totally wrecking a soccer ball into a fountain. I’m talking full-on splash zone. I’m just standing there, shaking my head. Kids these days, right? I mean, who needs a ball when you’ve got a fountain? Then, I get a call from my client. They want to change the whole concept for the project. Like, what? We’ve been working on this for weeks! I’m pacing down Via Garibaldi, trying to keep my cool. I’m like, “Listen, we can’t just flip the script!” But they’re all, “Trust us, it’ll be great.” Ugh, I hate that. Trust? In this economy? So, I’m fuming, right? I decide to take a breather at the gelato place on Via Cavour. I order a scoop of pistachio, my fave. But guess what? They’re out! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” So, I settle for stracciatella. Not the same, but whatever. I sit outside, trying to enjoy it, but I can’t shake off the stress. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my old buddy Luca. We used to run around Tradate like we owned the place. He’s got this wild idea to start a street art project. I’m intrigued, but also like, “Dude, we’re not kids anymore.” But he’s all fired up, talking about murals on Via Manzoni. I can’t help but get hyped. Maybe it’s the gelato kicking in, or maybe it’s just Luca’s energy. We start brainstorming, and suddenly, I’m feeling good again. We’re laughing, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Tradate has this vibe, you know? It’s small but full of life. The people, the streets, the history. I mean, how many towns can say they’ve got a medieval castle nearby? But then, just as I’m getting into it, my phone buzzes. It’s my client again. They want a meeting. NOW. I’m like, “Seriously? Can’t a guy catch a break?” I tell Luca I gotta run, and he’s like, “Don’t let them get to you, man.” Easier said than done, right? I rush over to the meeting spot, which is at this café on Piazza della Libertà. I’m late, of course. I walk in, and they’re all staring at me like I’m the villain in a bad movie. I sit down, trying to play it cool. But inside, I’m a mess. They start throwing ideas at me, and I’m just nodding along, pretending to care. Finally, I snap. I’m like, “Listen, we need to stick to the original plan!” The room goes silent. I can feel the tension. But then, one of them cracks a joke, and suddenly, we’re all laughing. It’s weird how quickly things can change. After the meeting, I’m feeling a bit lighter. I walk back through the streets of Tradate, taking it all in. The shops, the people, the vibe. I stop by the old church on Via Vittorio Emanuele. It’s peaceful there. I take a moment to breathe. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Tradate, man. It’s got its quirks, but it’s home. And even on the craziest days, it’s the little moments that make it all worth it. I crash on my couch, thinking about tomorrow. Who knows what’ll happen? But I’m ready for it. Bring it on, Tradate!
