Man, what a day! I swear, Treviso really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day crunching numbers, but nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m strolling down Via Roma, right? Just me and my coffee, feeling all fancy. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” But then, BAM! I step in a puddle. Not just any puddle, but the biggest, grossest puddle ever. My shoes are soaked. Great start, huh? I’m grumbling, trying to shake it off. I pass by the beautiful Piazza dei Signori. It’s stunning, like postcard material. But I’m too busy cursing my wet socks to appreciate it. I mean, who even designed these streets? They should’ve thought about drainage! Anyway, I get to the office on Via San Nicolò, and my boss is already in a mood. He’s like, “Where are those reports?” Dude, chill! I just got here! I’m still drying my feet! But I pull it together, you know? Gotta be the responsible accountant. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Hey, you wanna grab a spritz later?” I’m like, “Sure, but I gotta finish this stuff first.” I mean, who can say no to a spritz, right? So, I’m buried in spreadsheets, and suddenly, the power goes out. Just my luck! I’m sitting there in the dark, thinking, “Is this a sign? Should I just go home?” But no, I power through. I’m a warrior! Finally, the lights flicker back on. I finish my work, and I’m outta there. I race to meet Marco at the bar on Via dei Pescatori. The vibe is lit! We’re laughing, joking, and I’m finally feeling good. But then, I see this guy spill his drink all over some poor lady. I mean, come on! It’s Treviso, not a water park! She’s fuming, and I can’t help but laugh. It’s just too ridiculous. After a few spritzes, we decide to stroll along the Sile River. It’s beautiful at night, all lit up. I’m feeling philosophical, like, “Life’s too short for boring days.” I mean, who knew Treviso could be so magical? But then, I get a text from my boss. “Need those reports ASAP.” Ugh, seriously? I just wanna enjoy my night! But I can’t ignore it. So, I’m sitting by the river, typing away on my phone, trying to balance work and fun. Finally, I wrap it up. I’m free! We hit up a gelato place on Via Calmaggiore. I get the pistachio, and it’s heavenly. I’m like, “This is what life’s about!” As the night winds down, I’m walking home, feeling grateful. Treviso, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. From puddles to spritzes, you’ve shown me that even accountants can have wild days. So, here’s to more unexpected adventures! Just maybe with drier shoes next time.
