Man, what a day! I swear, Trinitapoli really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day crunching numbers, but boy, was I wrong. So, I’m strolling down Via Roma, right? Just me and my coffee, trying to wake up. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Famous last words. First thing, I get to the office, and my boss, Mr. Rossi, is already in a mood. He’s pacing like a caged lion. I’m thinking, “Dude, it’s 8 AM. Chill.” But no, he’s all about this audit that’s due. I mean, come on! It’s Trinitapoli, not Wall Street! Then, I get a call from a client. This guy, Marco, is freaking out. He’s like, “I can’t find my receipts!” I’m like, “Bro, you’re an accountant too. How do you lose receipts?” But whatever, I’m trying to help. I tell him to check under his couch. Classic move, right? After that, I decide to take a break. I head over to Piazza della Libertà. It’s beautiful there, with the fountain and all. I sit down, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the moment. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides my lap is the perfect landing spot. Ugh! I’m flapping my arms like a maniac, and people are staring. Great, just great. So, I’m back at the office, and guess what? The printer jams. Of course! It’s like it knows I’m stressed. I’m wrestling with it, and I’m pretty sure I said some words that would make my grandma faint. Finally, I get it working, but not before I spill coffee all over my notes. Perfect! Then, around noon, I get a text from my buddy, Luca. He’s like, “Let’s grab a pizza at Da Michele.” I’m like, “Yes, please!” Nothing like a good slice to lift the spirits. So, I dash over to Via Cavour, and the pizza is, as always, heavenly. I mean, the mozzarella is so fresh, it practically sings. But then, I get a call from my mom. She’s like, “Did you pay the electric bill?” I’m like, “Mom, I’m an accountant! Of course, I did!” But inside, I’m panicking. Did I? I can’t remember! So, I’m stuffing my face with pizza while trying to check my bank statements. Multitasking at its finest, right? After lunch, I head back to the office, and the mood is tense. Mr. Rossi is still on edge. I swear, if he paces any more, he’s gonna wear a groove in the floor. I’m trying to focus, but my mind keeps wandering. I start daydreaming about the beach at Torre di Mezzo. The waves, the sun, the gelato... Ah, bliss! Then, out of nowhere, my computer crashes. Seriously? I’m about to lose everything! I’m sweating bullets, praying to the tech gods. Finally, it restarts, and I’m like, “Thank you, sweet baby Jesus!” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I walk home through Via Manzoni, and I can’t help but laugh at the chaos. Trinitapoli, you wild beast! You’ve thrown everything at me today. I get home, kick off my shoes, and plop on the couch. I’m thinking, “What a ride!” I pour myself a glass of wine and just chill. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what it’ll bring? But for now, I’m just grateful for the pizza, the chaos, and the beautiful mess that is Trinitapoli. Cheers to that! 🍷
