Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a librarian, right? And today in Tuglie was just... wow. Like, I woke up thinking it’d be a chill day. You know, just me, my books, and the sweet smell of old paper. But nah, Tuglie had other plans. First off, I’m walking down Via Roma, and it’s like, 8 AM. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m feeling good. But then, BAM! I step in a puddle. Not just any puddle, but the grossest, murkiest one ever. I swear it was like a mini swamp. My shoes? Ruined. Thanks, Tuglie. So, I get to the library, right? It’s on Via G. Marconi, and I’m all set to organize the new arrivals. But guess what? The delivery guy shows up late. Like, super late. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking, “C’mon, man! I got books to shelve!” Finally, he rolls in, and he’s got this huge grin. I’m like, “Dude, you’re late!” And he’s all, “But I brought pastries!” Ugh, fine. I can’t stay mad when there’s food involved. After that, I’m in the zone, shelving books, when this kid runs in. He’s like, “Miss, miss! I need a book for a project!” I’m thinking, “Great, another last-minute panic.” But then he tells me it’s about the history of Tuglie. I’m like, “Oh, you’re in luck!” I grab a book about the ancient olive trees and the history of the town. Did you know Tuglie has roots going back to the Roman times? Crazy, right? Anyway, I’m helping him, and he’s super excited. I mean, who knew history could be fun? But then, outta nowhere, his little sister starts crying. Like, full-on meltdown. I’m trying to keep it together, but it’s chaos. I’m like, “Hey, kid, how about a sticker?” And boom, instant happiness. Kids are so easy to please. Then, during lunch, I decide to hit up this little café on Via C. Battisti. Best decision ever. I order a panino and a cappuccino. The barista is this cool dude who knows everyone. He’s telling me about the local gossip. Apparently, there’s a cat that’s become a local celebrity. Like, what? A cat? In Tuglie? I need to meet this feline superstar. But then, I get back to the library, and it’s like a tornado hit. Books everywhere! I’m talking total disaster. I’m fuming. I mean, who does this? I start picking them up, muttering to myself about how people need to respect the library. It’s not a playground, people! Later, I’m trying to calm down when this old man comes in. He’s looking for a book on fishing. I’m like, “Sure, let’s find you something.” We chat about the best fishing spots around Tuglie. He mentions the nearby coast, and I’m like, “Dude, I need to go there!” The sea, the sun, the whole vibe. As the day winds down, I’m exhausted but happy. I love my job, even with the craziness. Tuglie is full of surprises. Just when you think you know it all, something new pops up. Like that cat, or the old man’s fishing stories. So, I’m heading home, and I can’t help but smile. Tuglie, you wild little town, you’ve got my heart. Even with the puddles and the chaos, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Here’s to more crazy days ahead!
