Man, what a day! I swear, Valenza really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m cruising down Via Roma, thinking about my estimates for that new construction project. You know, the one on Via Garibaldi? Yeah, that one. I’m pumped, ready to crush it. But then, BAM! Traffic jam outta nowhere. Like, seriously? It’s 8 AM! Who’s even on the road this early? I’m stuck there, fuming. I mean, c’mon, Valenza! You’re a small town! How do you have traffic like this? I’m sweating bullets, thinking I’m gonna be late. Finally, I get to the site, and guess what? The foreman’s not even there! I’m like, “Dude, where you at?” Turns out he’s stuck in the same jam. Classic. So, I’m pacing around, trying to keep my cool. I decide to grab a coffee at that little café on Piazza XX Settembre. You know the one? The one with the best pastries? I’m thinking, “A cappuccino will fix this.” But no! They’re out of milk! Like, how do you run out of milk in Italy? I’m about to lose it. Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and boom! Happiness overload. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking disaster. I’m standing there, trying to wipe it off with a napkin, and this old lady walks by. She gives me this look like I’m the biggest idiot. Thanks, lady. Appreciate it. After that, I head back to the site, and the foreman finally shows up. We start going over the plans, and I’m feeling good again. But then, he drops a bomb. “We need to change the whole layout.” WHAT?! I’m like, “Dude, we just went over this!” But he’s all chill about it. “It’ll be fine.” Yeah, right. So, I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m raging. I mean, Valenza’s got this beautiful vibe, but today? It’s testing me. I take a deep breath, look around. The old buildings, the river Po nearby, the vibe of the town. It’s stunning. I can’t let this ruin my day. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Yo, you wanna hit up that new bar later?” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” I need a drink after this madness. Finally, the day wraps up. I’m exhausted but relieved. I stroll down Via Cavour, taking in the sights. The sunset over the river is gorgeous. I’m feeling grateful, despite the chaos. Later, I meet Marco at the bar. We’re laughing, sharing stories about our day. I tell him about the milk fiasco, and he’s cracking up. “Only you, man!” he says. By the end of the night, I’m tipsy and happy. Valenza, you crazy town, you’ve got my heart. Even on the wildest days, there’s something special about you. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
