Man, what a day! I woke up in Vaprio d'Adda, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a carpenter, right? So, I’m all about wood, nails, and the sweet smell of sawdust. But today? Today was somethin’ else. I hit the streets early, like around 7 AM. The sun was just peeking over the Adda River, and it was kinda beautiful, ya know? I strolled down Via Roma, and I swear, the coffee smell from the bar down the street was calling my name. I couldn’t resist. I grabbed a cappuccino, and man, it was like liquid gold. I was feelin’ good, ready to tackle the day. But then, BAM! I get a call from my client. “Hey, the measurements are off!” he says. I’m like, “What do ya mean off? I measured twice!” Turns out, he had the wrong dimensions. Ugh! I was fuming. I mean, come on! How hard is it to measure a freakin’ wall? So, I had to rush back to the workshop on Via Garibaldi. Traffic was a nightmare. I thought I’d lose my mind. Finally, I get back, and I’m ready to cut some wood. But guess what? My saw decides to take a vacation. Just stops working. I’m there, staring at it like it owes me money. I kicked it a little—okay, maybe a lot—and it roared back to life. I felt like a mechanic and a carpenter all in one. So, I’m back in business, right? I’m cutting, sanding, and feeling like a pro. Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Marco shows up. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he tells me he saw a guy trying to fish in the Adda with a spaghetti strainer. I mean, who does that? I laughed so hard, I almost dropped my chisel. After a while, I needed a break. I headed to the park by the river, Parco Adda Nord. It’s a chill spot. I sat on a bench, just watching the ducks. They were quacking like they owned the place. I thought, “Man, if only I could be a duck. No worries, just floatin’ around.” But then, I got a text. My sister was in town, and she wanted to meet up. I hadn’t seen her in ages! So, I rushed over to Via Vittorio Emanuele. We hit this little trattoria, and the food was insane. I had the best risotto. Like, I could’ve bathed in it. We laughed, reminisced about our childhood, and I forgot all about the crazy day. But then, as I was leaving, I tripped over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I fell right into a bush. My sister couldn’t stop laughing. I was covered in leaves, looking like a walking disaster. But hey, at least I made her day. As the sun set over Vaprio d'Adda, I walked back home, feeling grateful. Yeah, the day was wild. But it was also full of surprises. I love this city, with its quirky streets and the river that runs through it. It’s home. And even on the craziest days, it’s where I wanna be. So, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
