Man, what a day in Veglie! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, Piazza della Libertà. I’m there, ready to show off this beautiful square. It’s got this old-school vibe, you know? But then, bam! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, really? Thanks, nature. I’m standing there, trying to act cool, but inside I’m fuming. I mean, come on! So, I clean myself up and head down Via Roma. This street is always buzzing. I’m talking shops, cafes, people everywhere. I stop by this little café, Bar Centrale. Best cappuccino ever! I’m sipping it, feeling all fancy, when I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, you’re in public!” But then, I can’t help but chuckle. They’re fighting over who gets the last pastry. Classic Veglie drama, right? After that, I take a stroll down Via Garibaldi. It’s lined with these cute little houses. I love the colors! But then, I see this guy trying to parallel park. And let me tell you, it was a disaster. He’s in and out, in and out. I’m just standing there, laughing my head off. Finally, he gives up and just leaves the car in the middle of the street. I mean, who needs rules, right? Next, I head to the Chiesa Madre. It’s stunning, like, jaw-droppingly beautiful. I’m showing a group of tourists around, and they’re all snapping pics. But then, this one guy drops his phone. It bounces off the steps and lands right in a puddle. I’m like, “Dude, that’s a goner.” He’s freaking out, and I’m trying not to laugh. I mean, come on! It’s just a phone! Then, I decide to take them to the local market. It’s on Via Cavour, and it’s always a blast. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the best local cheese. I’m chatting with the vendors, and they’re all super friendly. But then, I see this lady trying to haggle over a tomato. A TOMATO! I’m thinking, “Lady, it’s 50 cents!” But she’s relentless. I’m just standing there, shaking my head, thinking, “Veglie, you never disappoint.” By now, I’m feeling pretty good. I mean, sure, I got pooped on, but it’s all part of the experience, right? So, I take my group to the park, Parco della Rimembranza. It’s beautiful, with all these trees and flowers. I’m feeling all zen when suddenly, a kid runs by, chasing a dog. The dog jumps into a fountain, splashing water everywhere. I’m soaked again! But honestly, it was hilarious. The kid’s laughing, the dog’s having the time of its life, and I’m just standing there, dripping wet, thinking, “This is Veglie, baby!” As the day winds down, I’m walking back to my car, and I can’t help but smile. Veglie is wild, unpredictable, and full of surprises. I love it! Sure, I had my moments of frustration, but that’s what makes it real. I wouldn’t trade this crazy day for anything. So, yeah, that was my day in Veglie. Full of laughs, a bit of chaos, and a whole lot of heart. Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
