Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a telephone operator in Venaria-Reale is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First call comes in at 8 AM. Some dude from Via Roma is losing his mind. His cat, Micio, is stuck in a tree. I’m like, “Bro, it’s a cat, not a lion!” But he’s all panicky. I mean, come on, it’s Venaria-Reale, not the Serengeti! I tell him to chill, call the fire department. They’re the real heroes, not me. Then, I get another call. This lady from Corso Garibaldi is screaming about her neighbor’s music. Like, lady, it’s Italy! We live for the music! But she’s all, “It’s too loud!” I’m thinking, “What’s too loud? The sound of life?” But I just nod and say I’ll pass it on. Around noon, I take a break. I step outside, and wow, the Royal Palace of Venaria is stunning! I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of baroque architecture? I snap a pic for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m like, “Great, now I’m a meme.” Back to work. The calls keep coming. A guy from Via G. Marconi is complaining about a pothole. I’m like, “Dude, it’s not the Grand Canyon!” But he’s serious. “It’s gonna swallow my car!” I can’t help but laugh. I mean, it’s a pothole, not a black hole! Then, the craziest thing happens. A call comes in from a tourist. They’re lost! I’m like, “You’re in Venaria-Reale, how can you be lost?” They’re looking for the Reggia. I’m like, “Just follow the crowd, man!” But they’re panicking. I tell them to look for the big fancy building. It’s not rocket science! By 3 PM, I’m exhausted. I grab a coffee from a little café on Via della Libertà. Best espresso ever! I sit outside, soaking in the vibe. People are walking by, kids are playing, and I’m just thinking, “This is life.” But then, a pigeon poops on my shoulder. Seriously?! I’m like, “Thanks, nature!” Back to the grind. More calls. A lady from Via Cavour is mad about the bus schedule. “It’s never on time!” she says. I’m like, “Welcome to Italy, lady!” But I keep it professional. I tell her I’ll pass it on. Then, the day takes a turn. A call comes in from a guy who’s just won the lottery! He’s screaming, “I’m rich!” I’m like, “Dude, chill! You’re still in Venaria-Reale!” But he’s so hyped, it’s contagious. I can’t help but smile. Finally, the clock hits 6 PM. I’m done. I step outside, and the sunset over the Reggia is breathtaking. I think about all the calls, the craziness, and I’m just grateful. Venaria-Reale, you’re wild, but I love ya. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of drama, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a telephone operator in this beautiful city. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
