Man, what a day! I swear, Verdellino is a wild ride. I woke up, sun blarin’ through my window on Via Roma. Thought it was gonna be chill, ya know? Just me, my shears, and some sheep. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the local café on Via Garibaldi. Best cappuccino in town, no joke. I’m sippin’ my brew, and this dude walks in, all frantic. Turns out, he lost his dog. Like, c’mon man, keep an eye on your pup! But I felt for him, so I offered to help. We searched all over, even down by the park near the church. No luck. I was like, “Dude, maybe he’s just chillin’ at home?” But he was all panicky. After that, I finally got to the sheep farm. It’s just outside of town, past the roundabout on Via della Libertà. I’m ready to shear some wool, right? But the sheep? They were not havin’ it. I swear, they were plotting against me. One of ‘em, a big ol’ ram, charged at me! I dodged like I was in the Olympics. I mean, c’mon, I’m just here for the wool, not a wrestling match! Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m soaked, sheep are freakin’ out, and I’m just tryin’ to keep my cool. I’m yellin’ at the sheep, “C’mon, guys! Just a little trim!” But they’re bleatin’ like I’m tryin’ to take their lives. Finally, I get a few of ‘em sheared. Wool everywhere, like a snowstorm in July. I’m feelin’ accomplished, right? But then I trip over a pile of wool and faceplant. Classic. I’m layin’ there, covered in fluff, and I just start laughin’. Like, what else can ya do? After the shearin’ fiasco, I head back to town. I’m walkin’ down Via Mazzini, and I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion, and honestly, he’s not half bad. I toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me a nod. Felt good to support local talent, ya know? But then, I see a group of kids throwin’ rocks at a stray cat. I’m like, “What the heck, guys?!” I storm over, and I’m all like, “You think that’s cool?!” They scatter like roaches when the light comes on. I scoop up the cat, and it’s purrin’ like crazy. I’m feelin’ like a hero for a hot minute. As the day winds down, I grab a slice at my favorite pizzeria on Via Dante. Best pizza in the world, I swear. I’m munchin’ on my margherita, thinkin’ about how crazy the day was. I mean, lost dogs, sheep drama, and saving cats? What a mix! I finally head home, exhausted but happy. Verdellino, you’re a trip. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe less sheep, more pizza? Fingers crossed!
