Wow, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m a librarian, right? And today in Viagrande was like a rollercoaster. Buckle up, folks! First off, I woke up late. Classic me. Alarm didn’t go off. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I mean, who needs matching socks? Not me! Rushed outta my apartment on Via Roma, barely had time for coffee. Ugh, coffee! My lifeblood! So, I’m sprinting down the street, dodging old ladies and their shopping carts. They’re like ninjas, I swear. I finally get to the library on Via Garibaldi, and guess what? The door’s locked! Are you kidding me? I’m banging on the door like a madman. Turns out, my boss decided to have a “team-building” exercise. Great, just great. I’m standing there, fuming. I mean, who needs team-building when you have a library to run? Anyway, I finally get in, and the place is a mess. Books everywhere! I’m talking chaos. I’m like, “Did a tornado hit or what?” Then, this kid comes in. He’s like, “I need a book for school.” I’m like, “Dude, we have a whole library!” But he’s fixated on this one book. It’s some ancient tome about the history of Viagrande. I’m thinking, “Really? You wanna read about our town’s boring past?” But hey, whatever floats your boat, right? So, I help him find it. It’s on the top shelf, of course. I’m not exactly a mountain climber, but I reach up and grab it. And bam! A whole stack of books falls on my head. Ouch! I’m seeing stars. The kid just laughs. Thanks, buddy. After that, I decide to take a break. I head out to the little café on Via Vittorio Emanuele. Best coffee in town, no joke. I order my usual—cappuccino, extra foam. I sit outside, soaking up the sun. It’s a beautiful day in Viagrande. The mountains in the background, the smell of fresh pastries. Life is good, right? But then, I see this guy. He’s trying to parallel park his car. And let me tell you, it’s a disaster. He’s hitting the curb, then the car behind him. I’m cringing. I mean, come on! It’s not rocket science! Finally, he gives up and just leaves it in the middle of the street. Classic Viagrande move. Back at the library, things get crazier. A group of tourists comes in. They’re lost, looking for the “best gelato in town.” I’m like, “Dude, you’re in the wrong place!” But they’re persistent. So, I pull out my phone and Google it. Turns out, it’s just down the street on Via San Rocco. I give them directions, and they’re off. Then, I get a call from my best friend. She’s in a panic. Her cat, Mr. Whiskers, is stuck in a tree. I’m like, “Seriously? You need me to rescue a cat?” But of course, I can’t say no. So, I grab my stuff and head over. When I get there, it’s a whole scene. Neighbors are gathered, looking up at this poor cat. I’m thinking, “What am I, a cat whisperer?” But I climb the tree anyway. I’m halfway up when I realize I’m terrified of heights. Great. Just great. Finally, I reach Mr. Whiskers. He’s not even scared. Just chilling. I grab him, and the crowd goes wild. I’m like a hero or something. I climb down, and everyone’s clapping. I’m blushing. After that, I’m exhausted. I head back to the library, and it’s almost closing time. I sit down, and I can’t help but laugh. What a day! Viagrande, you never cease to amaze me. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of drama. Just another day in the life of a librarian in this crazy little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
