Man, what a day! I swear, Vico-Equense is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit up Via Filangieri for my morning espresso. Best coffee in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my brew, and boom! A pigeon decides my shoulder is the perfect landing pad. Like, dude, I’m not a statue! I freak out, spill half my coffee. Great start, right? Then I stroll down to the beach. The view from Marina di Vico is insane! The turquoise water, the cliffs, the whole vibe. But guess what? There’s a beach cleanup happening. I’m all for saving the planet, but I just wanted to chill! So, I join in. I mean, how can you say no to a bunch of locals picking up trash? Plus, they had free snacks. Score! While I’m picking up plastic, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, like, “You never listen!” and “I can’t believe you did that!” Classic, right? I’m just there, trying to focus on the trash, but it’s like a soap opera. I’m low-key rooting for the guy. He seemed nice. After the cleanup, I head to Piazza Umberto I. It’s buzzing! Street performers, food stalls, and all that jazz. I grab a slice of pizza from this little joint, Pizzeria da Franco. Best pizza ever! I’m talking melty cheese, fresh basil, and that perfect crust. I’m in heaven. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! Like, seriously? I’m drenched in seconds. I duck into a nearby shop, and guess what? It’s a ceramics store. I’m browsing, and I see this beautiful plate. I’m like, “I need this in my life!” But then I check the price. My wallet screams. So, I just take a pic and move on. Next, I wander down Via Roma. It’s a cute street, lined with shops and cafes. I’m feeling good, despite the rain. I stop to chat with this old dude selling limoncello. He’s got the best stories! He tells me about the history of Vico-Equense, how it used to be a fishing village. I’m all ears. But then, I see a group of tourists. They’re lost, looking at a map like it’s a puzzle. I can’t help it. I walk over and say, “You guys need a tour guide?” They laugh, and I end up giving them a mini tour. I’m like, “This is the best gelato place, and over there is where they filmed a movie!” They’re loving it. Finally, I head back to the beach to catch the sunset. It’s stunning! The sky’s all pink and orange. I sit on the rocks, feeling grateful. Vico-Equense, with all its quirks, is my kinda place. But then, I hear a loud crash. I turn around, and a guy on a scooter just wiped out! He’s okay, but his pride? Not so much. I can’t help but laugh. As the sun dips below the horizon, I think about my day. It was chaotic, funny, and a bit messy. Just like life, right? Vico-Equense, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures!
