Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m a violin maker, right? And today in Villa-Guardia was like a rollercoaster. First off, I woke up late. Like, super late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. You know how it is. I live near Via Roma, which is kinda the heart of Villa-Guardia. It’s got that old-school charm, cobblestone streets, and all that jazz. But today? Ugh. I step outside, and it’s pouring. Like, rain-soaked, drenched in seconds. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great.” My day’s off to a fab start, huh? So, I dash to my workshop on Via Garibaldi. I’m soaked, my hair’s a mess, and I’m just grumpy. I get there, and guess what? My best wood supplier, Marco, is late. Like, seriously late. I’m pacing, tapping my foot, thinking about how I need that wood for a custom violin. It’s for some fancy concert, and I can’t let my client down. Finally, Marco shows up, all smiles. I’m like, “Dude, you’re late!” He just laughs and hands me this beautiful piece of spruce. I mean, it’s gorgeous! I forget my grumpiness for a sec. I’m like a kid in a candy store. But then, I notice a crack. A CRACK! I’m fuming. “Marco, what’s this?” He shrugs, says it’s a ‘character mark.’ I’m like, “Character? More like a disaster waiting to happen!” After that, I’m trying to focus on my work. I’m carving, sanding, and all that. But then, my neighbor, old Mrs. Rossi, comes in. She’s sweet but a bit nosy. She starts talking about her cat, Bella. I’m like, “That’s nice, but I’m kinda busy here.” But she just keeps going. I mean, I love cats, but c’mon! Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I rush outside, and there’s this guy on a scooter, totally wiped out. He’s okay, but his scooter? Not so much. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who rides a scooter in the rain? Only in Villa-Guardia, right? Later, I decide to take a break. I stroll down to Piazza della Libertà. It’s beautiful, with the fountain and all. I grab a coffee from my fave spot, Caffè del Centro. The barista, Luca, knows my order by heart. I’m sippin’ my espresso, feeling a bit better. But then, I see this street performer. He’s playing the violin, and man, he’s good! I’m standing there, just vibing, when he looks at me and winks. I’m like, “Dude, I’m the violin maker here!” After my coffee break, I head back to the workshop. I’m pumped to work on that violin. I’m in the zone, carving away, when I get a call. It’s my client. He’s freaking out about the concert. I’m like, “Chill, I got this!” But inside, I’m panicking. What if it’s not good enough? As the day winds down, I finally finish the violin. It’s stunning! I’m proud, like a parent at a graduation. I can’t wait to show it off. But then, I step outside, and guess what? It’s snowing! In October! I’m standing there, mouth agape. Only in Villa-Guardia, right? So, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about the day’s craziness. The rain, the wood, the cat stories, the scooter crash, and that street performer. It’s wild how one day can be so full of ups and downs. But that’s life, I guess. And I wouldn’t trade my crazy Villa-Guardia for anything.
