Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in my tiny apartment on Via Roma, right? The sun’s blasting through the window like it’s trying to roast me alive. I’m like, “Chill, sun! I’m not ready for this!” But hey, I’m a sports psychologist, gotta keep it together, right? First thing, I grab my coffee from that little café on Piazza della Libertà. You know the one? The barista, Marco, always gives me that “you again?” look. But I’m like, “Yeah, me again! Gimme that espresso!” I swear, that stuff could wake the dead. So, I’m buzzing, ready to tackle the day. I head over to the sports complex on Via delle Rose. It’s a nice spot, but man, the energy there is wild. Kids everywhere, running around like they’re on a sugar high. I’m thinking, “These kids need a sports psychologist, stat!” I’m meeting with this soccer team, right? They’re all pumped for the big match tomorrow. But there’s this one kid, Luca. He’s a total mess. Can’t focus, can’t breathe, just a ball of nerves. I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just a game!” But he’s all, “What if I mess up? What if I let everyone down?” I’m trying to work my magic, you know? I’m throwing out all the classic psych tricks. “Visualize success! Breathe! Think positive!” But Luca’s just staring at me like I’m speaking Martian. I’m getting frustrated, like, “C’mon, man! You’re better than this!” Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off. I’m like, “Seriously? Right now?” Everyone’s freaking out, running around like headless chickens. I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like, “This is NOT how I pictured my day!” After the chaos, we finally get back to it. I manage to get Luca to open up a bit. Turns out, he’s got some family stuff going on. I’m like, “Dude, you gotta talk about this! Don’t bottle it up!” And he starts crying. I’m thinking, “Great, now I’m a therapist AND a babysitter.” But then, something clicks. He starts to focus. I can see it in his eyes. It’s like a light bulb went off. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I’m like, “YES! This is what it’s all about!” After the session, I’m walking down Via dei Fiori, feeling like a champ. But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and this old lady walks by. She just looks at me and says, “You okay, young man?” I’m like, “Yeah, just practicing my parkour skills!” I finally make it to the park by the river. It’s beautiful there, with the trees and the water. I sit down on a bench, trying to catch my breath. I’m thinking about how crazy the day was. I mean, one minute I’m helping a kid with his anxiety, and the next I’m face-planting on the street. But then, I see this couple having a picnic. They’re laughing, sharing food, and I’m like, “Man, I need that in my life!” I’m feeling all the feels. I pull out my phone, scroll through Instagram, and see all my friends living their best lives. I’m like, “Why am I not at the beach right now?” As the sun starts to set, I head back home. I’m exhausted but happy. I think about Villa-Raspa. It’s a wild place, full of surprises. The streets, the people, the energy—it’s all a bit chaotic, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and tears. Just another day in Villa-Raspa, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
