Man, what a day! Zagarolo, you wild beast. I woke up thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, Zagarolo had other plans. First off, I hit up Via Roma for some coffee. Best espresso in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my brew, and boom! This pigeon swoops down, like it’s on a mission. Almost took my croissant! I swear, these birds are like ninjas. So, I’m walkin’ down to the old castle, Castello di Zagarolo. It’s this ancient fortress, right? I love it. But today, it was swarmed with tourists. Ugh. I mean, I get it, it’s beautiful and all, but c’mon! Can’t a huntsman enjoy some peace? I’m tryin’ to sneak around, but then I hear this loud argument. Two guys, right in front of the castle. One’s shoutin’ about the best pizza in Zagarolo. Like, dude, chill! It’s pizza, not a world championship. I mean, I love a good slice, but it’s not worth throwin’ fists over. Then, I decide to stroll down Via della Repubblica. It’s a cute street, lined with shops and cafes. I pop into this little place, La Bottega, for some salami. Best in the biz, trust me. But the owner, Marco, starts talkin’ my ear off about his “secret recipe.” I’m like, bro, just give me the meat! After that, I head to the park, Parco dei Castelli Romani. It’s a nice spot to chill. I plop down on a bench, just takin’ it all in. The view is killer. You can see the hills, the vineyards, everything. But then, this kid runs by, kickin’ a soccer ball. Hits me right in the leg! I’m like, “Hey, watch it, mini Messi!” I’m tryin’ to shake it off, but then I see this couple. They’re havin’ a picnic, all lovey-dovey. I mean, come on! I’m sittin’ here, single as a Pringle, and they’re makin’ me feel all mushy. I roll my eyes, but deep down, I’m kinda jealous. Then, outta nowhere, it starts rainin’. Like, seriously? I thought Zagarolo was supposed to be sunny! I dash for cover under a tree, but it’s not helpin’. I’m soaked. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great. A huntsman drenched like a rat.” But then, I see this old man. He’s just chillin’ in the rain, laughin’ like it’s the best day ever. I can’t help but smile. He’s got this vibe, ya know? Like, life’s too short to sweat the small stuff. Finally, the rain stops. I’m wanderin’ back, and I pass by the old church, Chiesa di San Lorenzo. It’s beautiful, but I’m too tired to go in. I just wanna get home. But then, I hear music. There’s a street performer playin’ the accordion. It’s kinda magical. I stop, toss him a couple of euros, and just listen. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Zagarolo, you crazy town, you got me feelin’ all sorts of things today. I love ya, but man, you sure know how to keep a huntsman on his toes!
