Man, today was a wild ride in Half-Way-Tree! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another day, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the usual spot for breakfast—Miss T’s. You know, the one on the corner of Half-Way-Tree Rd and Eastwood Park Rd? Best ackee and saltfish in town, no cap! I’m munching away, feeling all good, when suddenly, this dude walks in. He’s loud, like, way too loud for 8 AM. Starts talking about how he’s gonna run for some local office. I’m like, “Bro, you can’t even run for the bus!” 😂 After that, I had a session with a client at the National Stadium. The vibe was off, man. My guy was all over the place. He’s a sprinter, right? But today, he was more like a turtle. I’m trying to pump him up, but he’s just staring at the ground like it owes him money. I’m like, “Yo, you gotta channel that energy!” But he just shrugs. Ugh, so frustrating! Then, I decided to take a stroll down Constant Spring Rd. The traffic was insane! Like, why is it always like this? I swear, I could’ve walked to Kingston and back faster. And don’t get me started on the taxi drivers. They’re like, “I’m just gonna cut you off, no biggie.” I’m there dodging cars like I’m in some video game. But then, outta nowhere, I bump into my old friend, Janelle. We used to run track together back in the day. She’s all smiles, and I’m like, “Girl, where you been?” Turns out she’s opening a new gym on Half-Way-Tree Rd. I’m so proud of her! We chat for a bit, and it’s like no time has passed. After that, I had to head to the Half-Way-Tree Transport Center. Man, that place is a whole circus! People everywhere, buses coming and going, and the smell of jerk chicken wafting through the air. I swear, if I could bottle that smell, I’d be rich! But then, I see this kid trying to sell some snacks. He’s got this big ol’ smile, and I’m like, “You got hustle, kid!” I bought a pack of chips, and he was so grateful. Made my day, for real. But then, I got a call from my boss. He’s like, “We need to talk about your last report.” My heart dropped. I’m thinking, “Oh no, what did I mess up?” Turns out, he just wanted to praise me for my work. Phew! I was ready to throw my phone out the window! By the time I got home, I was exhausted. But I couldn’t stop thinking about the day. The ups, the downs, the surprises. Half-Way-Tree is like that—full of life, full of chaos. It’s a vibe, ya know? So, I plopped down on my couch, ready to binge-watch some series. But then, I remembered I left my phone at the gym. Ugh! So, I had to go back out. Just my luck, right? In the end, I guess it was a day full of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. But that’s life in Half-Way-Tree for ya. Always something happening, always a story to tell. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
