Man, what a day! I’m a shepherd, right? But today, I was more like a lost sheep in Anan. Seriously, I thought I knew this city, but it threw me for a loop. So, I wake up early, like, way too early. The sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinking about my flock. But nah, today was all about the city life. I had to run some errands. First stop? The famous Anan Castle. I mean, it’s not like I’m a tourist or anything, but I figured, why not? I stroll down Kōen-dōri, and wow, the cherry blossoms are still hanging on. They’re like, “Hey, look at us!” I’m like, “Yeah, I see ya, but I got sheep to tend to!” But I can’t help it. I snap a pic. Gotta show the fam back home, right? Then, I hit up the local market on Kōen-cho. Man, the smells! Fresh fish, grilled yakitori, and oh, the mochi! I’m drooling just thinking about it. I grab some mochi, and this old lady behind the counter is all smiles. She’s like, “You like?” I’m like, “Lady, I love!” But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Taro. He’s like, “Dude, your sheep are out!” I’m like, “What?!” Panic mode activated. I bolt outta there, mochi in hand, and I’m sprinting down the street. I take a shortcut through the back alleys of Anan. You know, the ones that smell like a mix of ramen and something else. I’m dodging people, tripping over my own feet. I’m like, “Excuse me! Sorry! Gotta save my sheep!” Finally, I get to the field. And guess what? My sheep are just chillin’. Like, “What’s up, dude?” I’m fuming! I’m like, “You guys had one job!” But then, I can’t stay mad. They’re just so fluffy and cute. After that chaos, I decide to treat myself. I head to the Anan City Museum. I’m thinking, “Culture time!” But honestly, I just wanna sit down. I plop on a bench, and this kid comes up to me. He’s like, “Are you a real shepherd?” I’m like, “Yeah, kid, I’m the real deal.” He’s all wide-eyed, asking me about my sheep. I’m telling him stories, and he’s hanging on every word. It’s kinda sweet, honestly. Makes me forget about the craziness of the day. But then, I get a text from my sister. She’s like, “Mom’s making your favorite dinner!” I’m like, “Ugh, why’d you have to say that?” Now I’m starving! I rush back through the streets, past the Anan River. The sunset is gorgeous, painting the sky all kinds of colors. I stop for a sec, just to breathe it in. Life’s not so bad, right? Finally, I get home, and there’s my mom, apron on, cooking up a storm. I’m like, “You’re the best!” She just laughs. I tell her about my day, and we both crack up. So yeah, Anan was wild today. From sheep drama to mochi madness, it was a rollercoaster. But hey, that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with it.
