Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an arborist in Chitose is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I grab my gear and head out. I’m cruisin’ down Chitose’s main drag, Chuo-dori, and I’m vibin’ to some tunes. The streets are packed, as usual. I mean, who doesn’t love a good morning rush? But then, BAM! I hit a pothole. My coffee goes flying. Like, seriously? I need that caffeine fix! Anyway, I finally get to this park, Chitose Park, where I’m supposed to trim some trees. It’s a nice spot, but man, the squirrels there are like little ninjas. They’re darting around, stealing my tools. I’m like, “Yo, I’m the one with the chainsaw here!” But they don’t care. They just stare at me like I’m the intruder. So, I start climbing this massive cherry tree. It’s beautiful, right? But halfway up, I notice a nest. And guess what? Mama bird is NOT happy. She starts dive-bombing me! I’m dodging like I’m in some action movie. I’m yelling, “Chill out, lady! I’m just here for a trim!” But she’s relentless. I finally get down, and I’m like, “Okay, I’ll come back later.” Next, I head over to the Chitose City Hall area. I’m supposed to check on some sick trees there. But as I’m walking, I see this food truck. It’s got the best yakitori in town. I can’t resist. I grab a skewer, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I spill sauce all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking condiment. After that, I’m back to work. I’m at this spot on Koshimizu Street, and I’m feeling good. I’m trimming away, and then I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and a car just smashed into a tree! Like, what the heck? The driver hops out, looking all panicked. I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a tree. You’re fine!” But he’s freaking out. I mean, it’s Chitose, not Tokyo. Chill, bro! So, I help him out, and we’re chatting. Turns out he’s new in town. I give him the lowdown on the best ramen spots. Gotta spread the love, right? Finally, I wrap up my day. I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll down to the Chitose Station, and the sunset is just gorgeous. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I’m like, “Man, this is why I do what I do.” But then, I trip over a curb. Classic. I’m laughing at myself, thinking, “What a day!” I hop on the train, and as I’m heading home, I can’t help but think about all the craziness. Chitose, you wild! So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, squirrels, and a whole lotta trees. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
