Man, what a day! Seriously, Fukumitsu is wild. I woke up, sun blarin’ through my window on Koshin Street. I’m a raftsman, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ on the river, but today? Nah, today was a whole different ball game. First off, I hit up the local market on Shimozato Street. You know, the one with all the fresh fish and veggies? I’m tryin’ to grab some supplies for my raft. I’m all about that fresh catch, ya know? But then, bam! This old dude starts yellin’ at me. Like, dude, chill! He’s all mad ‘cause I accidentally bumped into his cart. I’m like, “Bro, it’s a market, not a ballet!” Anyway, I finally get my stuff and head to the river. The Kurobe River is lookin’ fine today. Water’s glistening, birds are chirpin’, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, outta nowhere, this huge boat comes cruisin’ by. I mean, c’mon! I’m tryin’ to work here! The waves hit my raft, and I almost spill my fish! I’m shoutin’ at the guy, “Hey! Watch it!” But he just waves like I’m some kinda fan. Ugh! So, I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, right? I start paddlin’ down the river, and it’s peaceful for a sec. I’m thinkin’ about life, the river, and how I love this city. Fukumitsu is dope! The cherry blossoms in spring? Epic. The food? Don’t even get me started on the ramen joints on Takamatsu Street. But today? Today’s a rollercoaster. Then, I see this little kid on the bank. He’s tryin’ to catch fish with a stick. I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” But then he slips and falls right into the water! I freak out! I paddle over, and he’s just laughin’ like it’s the best day ever. Kids, man. They’re fearless. I pull him out, and he’s soaked but grinnin’ ear to ear. I can’t help but laugh too. After that, I decide to take a break. I pull up on the shore near the Fukumitsu Castle ruins. It’s quiet there, and I can hear the wind rustlin’ through the trees. I sit down, munchin’ on some onigiri I grabbed earlier. Life’s good, right? But then, I see a group of tourists. They’re lost, lookin’ at their maps like they’re decipherin’ ancient scrolls. I can’t help but chuckle. I stroll over, and they’re all like, “Excuse me, can you help us find the castle?” I’m like, “Dude, you’re lookin’ at it!” They look at me like I’m a wizard or somethin’. I give ‘em a mini tour, throwin’ in some random facts. “This place was built in the 1600s, and it’s haunted!” They eat it up. I’m feelin’ like a local hero for a hot minute. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Taro. He’s like, “Yo, meet me at the izakaya on Yamanaka Street!” I’m thinkin’, “I could use a drink.” So, I hop back on my raft, headin’ down the river, and I’m just cruisin’. The sun’s settin’, and it’s beautiful. I get to the izakaya, and Taro’s already there, drinkin’ a beer. He’s like, “Dude, you look like you’ve been through a war!” I’m like, “You have no idea.” We start laughin’, and I tell him about the kid, the old dude, and the tourists. We’re just vibin’, and I’m feelin’ grateful for days like this. Fukumitsu, man. It’s crazy, it’s beautiful, and it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with all the madness, it’s the little moments that make it worth it. Cheers to that!
